The house has a large park divided between approximately 1500 sq m of garden with the rest given over to terracing with olive trees. On the top floor is the owners’ apartment, very reserved people but at the same time very helpful to guests if the need should arise. The owners’ apartment has a completely independent entrance and they do not use the park or the pool. Casa del Sole is a few hundred metres from the centre of Cortona yet pleasantly immersed in the green hill of Cortona from where it dominates the valley below. Cosy corners in the garden as well as fabulous glimpses of the view can be enjoyed by the guests in this charming property. From here the beautiful little towns of Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino but also the more important towns like Siena, Perugia, Florence and Rome can be easily reached. Interior: The part used for renting is all on one floor. The main entrance leads into the kitchen with dining area and into the sitting room with working fireplace formed by an open space divided by a brick archway. A corridor leads to the sleeping area composed of a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, with two queen size beds, which share a bathroom with tub and shower. Air conditioning only in the bedrooms. Park: The park extends around the house for about 1000 sq m, of which about 500 sq m are garden and the rest terracing with olive trees. Our holiday house is set on a rather isolated site, in fact, a country road for approximately two km, before you will reach a breathtaking scenery. Le Volpaie is a 180 sqm splendid stone-built country house recently restored, excellently refined (antique hand-made terracotta floors and beamed ceilings) and furnished by the owners with taste and elegance. Rectangular shaped, it measures 16 x 8 m with a depth varying from 1.20 to 2.20 m; access to the water is by large steps or ladder. It is lined in PVC and purification is by chlorine. The border is in sandstone. It is surrounded by a beautiful well-kept lawn containing the solarium area equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, chairs and 2 large umbrellas. VILLA CONTESSA - AREZZO AREA Located in the Arezzo area of Tuscany, Villa Contessa is a lovingly restored villa with a private swimming pool, spa, and gym. Entirely eco-sustainable and powered by renewable energy, the villa is an excellent choice for holidays with family or groups of friends. It is approximately 8 km from Foiano della Chiana, where there are shops and supermarkets, and it is well located for visits to Arezzo, Florence, Siena, and Cortona. All are within driving distance. The (700 Sqm) villa consists of a main villa (on three levels) and a detached suite (on two levels). MAIN VILLA (12) In the basement you will find a well-equipped kitchen, a cellar with a selection of wines, a large living room (with sofas and billiard table) and a bathroom (with toilet, basin). VILLA LUCIA - AREZZO AREA Villa Lucia is located close to the town of Castiglion Fiorentino, just 1km outside of it, reachable within a short walk where you can find many shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Within a short driving distance, you can reach the beautiful town of Arezzo with its hilltop cathedral. In the Arezzo area, you will find less tourists and more locals, as well as many treasures in the towns and castles of the area. Visit Cortona, Anghiari, Monterchi and Sansepolcro (if you love Piero della Francesca) and the castle of Poppi - these are just some of the most beautiful towns in the province of Arezzo. The villa is also ideally situated for easy day trips into Florence, Siena and the famous Chianti area for some wine tasting! The villa develops over two levels. On the ground floor we have an entrance into the living room with dining area and kitchen corner, a sitting room with double sofa bed, a second kitchen with dining room, a second living room with sofas and TV. The sleeping area on this floor consists of: one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with shower, two separate bathrooms with shower and another small guest bathroom with toilet and sink.
