Cortona is only fifteen kilometres away, rich in history with ancient
city walls dating back to the fifth century, as well as cultural
highlights such as its cathedral and the Franciscan convent of Le
Celle. For further exploration, Lake Trasimeno, Arezzo, Siena, Perugia,
and the UNESCO-recognised Val d’Orcia are all within easy reach, making
Villa Giovanna an excellent base for day trips.
