If a guest is bringing a pet we need to know in advance as there may be registration paperwork involved and a pet fee. This villa has a specific allowance for electricity usage which covers normal use per day. If guests run all zones of AC 24/7, it has happened that guests may exceed the allowance and there is a surcharge for over usage based on actual bills or meter readings upon entry and exit. Excess electricity usage may be deducted from the Security deposit that is on hold with OTA. To avoid that please be mindful and turn off the AC units when you are not in the room. We love Santaella restaurant which offers local cuisine with a modern approach and is in La Placita. Explore Calle Loiza, which is blocks from the apartment. This up and coming hip street is littered with funky dining and shopping options. Start off with a margarita at Acapulco and head down the strip stopping at Sabrina or Azucena for sophisticated Puerto Rican food. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. The saltwater pool also stimulates all the nerves in your body, promotes overall relaxation, and gives a fresh feeling every time after usage. Since the chlorine in a salt water pool doesn’t include harsh chemicals, it produces water that is softer and silkier to the touch. If staying within the general San Juan/Metro area, we recommend moving around via Uber. If you decide to rent a car, there are various paid parking garages around Old San Juan - pricing varies as some charge by the hour and others have a flat rate.  LOCATION Staying in Old San Juan is a truly unique experience filled with charm and character. From Villa Gaudi, you can comfortably walk anywhere within Old San Juan. The apartment is located on one of the quieter streets but still steps away from all the action. We recommend taking a cab or Uber from the airport and using Uber while you stay at Old San Juan. Renting a car is not necessary unless you are planning on road-tripping. This is a truly walkable location with everything you need a short walk away. The apartment does not include parking. Nonetheless, there are convenient parking lots close to the apartment. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within walking distance: Explore the El Morro Fort. There are daily tours of the fort and the large green areas have spectacular ocean views. Take a tour, have a picnic, and fly a kite. This is a must-do. Explore the iconic Calle San Sebastian nightlife. There is a large assortment of bars on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Breakfast at “La Mallorca”. This is a Puerto Rican landmark well known for its locally inspired breakfast and pastries. Savor Stuffed Avocado. Healthy and "trendy" spot where you can create your own avocado bowl. The apartment was remodeled in 2016 and has been kept in great condition but the common areas of the building are dated. The home comfortably sleeps 12 guests in beds and up to 16 guests if you use the two available full size sofa bed. Villa Pacifica boasts a balcony overlooking the Caribbean Sea, en-suite bathrooms in all bedrooms, an interior patio with gas BBQ, a ping pong table, 6 person spa right by the sea, kayaks, a paddleboard, and access to a public dock than can accommodate vessels up to 20 feet. There is AC throughout the home and Wi-Fi (which can be spotty at times due to the location). Located within the National Dry Forest of Guánica, this home is ideal for outdoor sports such as kayaking, fishing, hiking, cycling and running aficionados. The kitchen has a full size fridge with ice maker, an additional under counter fridge, stove, oven, and microwave. There is an interior patio with a gas grill and seating. A separate family room with flat screen TV. And finally a finished patio area with a 6 person spa. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The first and second bedroom are both accessed from inside the home and have a king bed, flatscreen TV, and en-suite bathrooms. The third bedroom, also accessed from inside the home, features a queen bed, a desk, an en-suite bathroom, and a sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two additional guests. The fourth and fifth bedrooms are more of an au-pair setup since they are accessed separate to the home. The fourth bedroom can be accessed from the front of the house or the patio and has a two queen beds, flat screen TV and en-suite bathroom. The fifth bedroom is accessed via the patio and boasts a large private balcony, it has a king bed, kitchenette with microwave and coffee maker, a sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two additional guests, and en suite bathroom. PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability. SOFA BED USAGE: If your group plans to use any of the two sofa beds in the third or fifth bedrooms, please advise us when booking or no later than 5 days before arrival so we can ensure they are properly prepared. Otherwise, while linens will be provided, the sofa beds will not be set up in advance. LOCATION Guánica Puerto Rico is definitely off the beaten path but that doesn’t mean there aren’t many things to do. Here are some of our favorites: Kayak to Gilligan’s Island. It is 10 minutes away and is gorgeous. We recommend leaving before 10 am before the wind picks up. Kayaking to the island is against the wind, and the way back is with the wind. So if you leave early you can get there easily without fighting the wind. If the wind picks up while you are there, it will push you back to shore. Hike or mountain bike the Bosque Seco de Guanica trail. The Bosque Seco de Guanica is a state park that is unique in the United States. The dry forest, beaches, and cliffs you will find are very picturesque. We recommend doing this early in the morning before it gets too hot. Check out the bioluminescent water from the public dock. This doesn’t happen all the time and you need a new moon (no moonlight). Head down to the dock when it gets dark and splash the water. If you are lucky, you’ll see some pretty cool bioluminescence. Do a day trip to Playa Santa, enjoy the beach, and have lunch at Umami. This white sand beach is a 15 minute drive away. It gets crowded on the weekend so this is an ideal activity for weekdays where you will have the beach almost to yourself. Umami is open for lunch and early dinner from Thursday to Sunday and they take reservations. Visit La Parguera for dinner and nightLife. One of our favorites is the Yacht Club at La Parguera for dinner and from there you can stroll downtown for live music, drinks and dancing. This is about 30 minutes away. Hit Copamarina Hotel for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is 5 minutes away from the property and a great option if you want nearby food and drinks. If staying within the general San Juan/Metro area, we recommend moving around via Uber. If you decide to rent a car, there are various paid parking garages around Old San Juan - pricing varies as some charge by the hour and others have a flat rate.    LOCATION Staying in Old San Juan is a truly unique experience filled with charm and character. From the property, you can comfortably walk anywhere within Old San Juan. The apartment is located on one of the quieter streets but still steps away from all the action. We recommend taking a cab from the airport and using Uber or taxi while you stay at Old San Juan. Renting a car is not necessary unless you are planning on road tripping. This is a truly walkable location with everything you need a short walk away. The apartment does not include parking. Nonetheless, there are convenient parking lots close to the apartment.   There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within walking distance: Explore the El Morro Fort. There are daily tours of the fort and the large green areas have spectacular ocean views. Take a tour, have a picnic, and fly a kite. This is a must-do. Explore the iconic Calle San Sebastian nightlife. There is a large assortment of bars on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Breakfast at “La Bombonera”. This is a Puerto Rican landmark well known for its locally inspired breakfast and pastries. Savor Stuffed Avocado. Healthy and "trendy" spot where you can create your own avocado bowl. Take a stroll around “Paseo La Princesa”, a waterfront walkway which you can start off at El Morro and finish of the walk with a rum tasting at Princesa Gastrobar at the end of the trail.
