From the entrance you enter a spacious living room and kitchen with dining area. It features a beautiful fireplace with heating cassette and TV. There is a famous home bakery and café, an ice cream factory and cafeteria, and Äppelgården which has both serving and a mustery. This house is located on Gudhammar’s Mansion with an incredibly beautiful surrounded next to Lake Skagern. Enjoy the good life inside this completely renovated manor wing. This holiday home is just next to a lake. This holiday home is a property on the fantastic Gudhammars estate which dates back to the 17th century and is located on a promontory with views in every direction; the property lies right outside Hova. This is a perfect holiday home for the larger family/ company with high demands on location and standard. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature during all the seasons, and during the summer you can bathe and fish in the lake of Skagern, and not least, you can enjoy the holiday home with all its facilities like the whirlpool or the wood burning bath barrel. The holiday home is built the year 1778 and is called “Flygen” and means “the wing”, and has been carefully renovated with all amenities and with tasteful furnishings. Still many of the old details have been preserved, adding to the charm of this holiday home. On the entry level you will find the bright kitchen area with its own exit to the generously sized patio, with sunlight from morning to evening. Here you can admire the wonderful view of the lake over a good meal. If the weather is too cold you can take your meal to the beautiful dining area which is connected to the kitchen, or you can go the ground floor where you will find an inviting living room with a wood burning stove. The living room is equipped with both a TV and a comfortable sofaset. On the same level there is also a bedroom with two single beds and a beautiful fully tiled bathroom with a whirlpool tub and shower. Upstairs is an additional living room with a sofa bed and TV, perfect for the children and the youngsters in the company. On the same level there is a bathroom with shower and four bedrooms. Two of them are sturdy bedrooms with wide double beds in each room; one of them even has a wood burning stove. The other two bedrooms are smaller and where one is equipped with one single bed and the other with a 120cm wide double bed. The holiday home is situated on a park like ground, where you dispose a private part of the lawn stretching towards the lake. There you will find a nice little shallow beach and a small bridge where a boat is docked, which you can rent and go on wonderful trips filled with fishing and bathing. Fishing is free of charge in the part of the lake which belongs to the owner. Of course you must take the opportunity to take a dip in the relaxing bath barrel, where you can sit and enjoy the starry nights. The bath barrel is shared with the three other cabins on the property, and costs 1500 SEK/occasion including wood for heating. (see house 40719, 38743 and 38744). It’s possible to rent it between May to October, the season depends on the weather. You can visit the knight week in Hova (always week 28) which is always fun and exciting where you can experience the tourney and the medieval market. Feel free to take a trip with one of the passenger boat next to “Göta kanal” which is the biggest canal in Sweden and discover all the locks and sights that the journey offers. If you want to shop you will do that advantageously by going to the old charming districts of Mariestad. For larger companies there are three additional holiday homes on this estate (look at 38743, 38744 and 40719). In the middle of the leafy forest with land adjacent to Norje Boke’s campsite, this fresh and tastefully decorated house is located in a cottage area. Here you have the peace and proximity to the beach, the restaurant and the shop for a relaxing and wonderful holiday. Via the entrance from the terrace you enter the living room, which immediately gives a cozy impression through the wood burning stove and chaise longue for lovely, lazy days with the best reading. There are 2 sofas, one of which is a sofa bed, in this light and airy TV room. From here you have access to the bathroom with washing machine and plenty of bench storage. The bedroom is also wall-to-wall with the living room and toilet. Inside the living room you will find the heart of the house with a kitchen area and a very pleasant dining area with room for many around the table. Here, there is also a lot of light from windows in almost all directions and the opportunity to sit down in one of the armchairs to digest the food. There is much to discover just walking distance from the house, for example the playground equipment on the beach, farm shops with everything from home-grown vegetables to gift and clothes shopping. If you want to take the car for a slightly longer trip, the entire Listerlandet with its beautiful nature and coast is only a cpule kilometers away. A day trip from Nogersund by boat to beautiful Hanö for a visit to the lighthouse and maybe an ice cream at the ferry stop. Fishing communities such as Hörvik and Krokås replace each other along the Baltic coast. For those interested in football, games are played in the Allsvenskan at Strandvallen in Hällevik. In the small-town idyll of Sölvesborg there are sights such as the castle and the Sölvesborg bridge with its 760 m pedestrian and cycle path over Ljungaviken. Welcome!

Nicely furnished villa north of Billingsfors with lovely lake views of Bengtsbrohöljen. The house is centrally yet remote in scenic Dalsland with proximity to everything you might need for a wonderful holiday. Walk and cycling distance to many attractions. The town is known for its paper mill, Billingsfors mill, which is located at Laxsjön. Dalsland Canal passes the paper mill in the ascent between Laxsjön and Bengtsbrohöljen. This ascent has three locks. The rapid stretch between Bengtsbrohöljen and Laxsjön is called Höljerudsforsarna and is a nature reserve. Here you can stay throughout the year and every season has its charms. Enjoy the lovely spring or summer, many small lakes with bathing areas are nearby, paddle, fish, golf, hike, ride a canal boat, pedal dressage, hike, experience moose safari. Autumn in Dalsland is incredibly beautiful with all the colors of the trees, and with the forest next to the house you can go out and look for mushrooms or just enjoy lovely forest walks. Winter in this landscape invites you to good skiing. You are welcomed by a small veranda that leads directly into a hall, to the left of the hall there is a large spacious country kitchen with dining area for 6 people there is everything you could need. To the right of the kitchen there are two bedrooms in one there is a double bed and wardrobes, in the other bedroom there is a single bed that the bedroom leads on to the living room where there is no door, door to the kitchen is located. To the right from the hall you have a bathroom with shower and toilet, a large lovely living room with a sofa bed and TV, a small office, door leading out to the back of the house there is a large terrace with outdoor furniture where you can socialize and barbecue well. Around the whole house there is lawn to run around and play on. In the basement there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, there is also a high chair and cot to borrow. Enjoy the morning coffee on the patio at the entrance of the house, greeted by bird chirping and views of Bengtsbrohöljen. Sometimes the garden is visited by deer and if you are lucky you can see moose up close. A berth is available. About 20 meters from the villa goes a small road, not much traffic. Private parking is available. The prepared cycle path between Billingsfors and Bengtsfors is within a few minutes’ distance of the villa. Locks 16, 17, 18 in Dalslands Kanal are within walking distance, also stop to board canal boat from Billingsfors. The 18 lock is known as the most photographed along the canal due to a wonderful little red cottage with picturesque garden located next to the lock. Exclusive trout fishing in Hölljerudsforsarna, between Bengtsbrohäljen and Laxsjön there are three rapids. Höljerudsforsarna consists of the upper rapids, an approximately 250 meter long rapids stretch with 6 meters drop height and the lower smaller rapids with about 2 meters drop height. Here you can fish trout and streamers for which the rapids are best known. Laxsjön is a lake with relatively clear and cold water. The lake has a natural trout population and every year trout are caught in weights up to 7 kg. Pike and perch reach high weights in Laxsjön. Largest pike of 15.1 kg and perch of 2.4 kg. Good ice fishing on rough perch. Fish species: perch, pike, roach, bream, tench, whitefish, vendace, cormorant, lake and trout. NB! Catch & Release on all trout regardless of size. For pike, fish between 50 and 80 cm may be picked up. Nearest launching ramp Billingsfors Marina. Fishing licenses can be purchased on the internet. With a short drive you will find Baldersnäs’s historic Herrgård there is Café Allé and restaurant Öjentorps kök where you work with local ingredients and producers. Dalslands Aktiviteter is one of Europe’s largest facilities when it comes to adventures in the forest and land where there is a cozy café and a reputable restaurant that always uses local produce. Dalslands Moose Ranch explore the moose in their natural environment. Rosellmagasinet is an old warehouse, which is considered Bengtsfors’ oldest building. With Lelången’s water hatching under the jetty, you can enjoy a well-prepared menu.
