It’s worth noting that the hill is quite pronounced and could prove highly daunting to children - especially in the heat - so a car is recommended to enjoy your surroundings to the fullest. Son Bou beach is one of the longest stretches of sand on the island. It features elevated timber walkways over the dunes that provide easy access for pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs, making it popular with visitors with small children and limited mobility. Even though the beach can get busy during the summer months and does have areas that naturists frequent, there’s enough space that it should be easy to find a quiet spot to set up for the day and enjoy the clear, shallow waters and soft sands. You’ll find plenty of family-friendly amenities here, such as lots of on-duty lifeguards, a first-aid post, a sun lounger and parasol hire, and a wide range of water sports activities that the whole family can enjoy.
