17 Shearwater is a bright and modern three bedroomed second floor apartment overlooking Kinsale Yacht Club marina to the front. It lies just a 400m stroll from the town centre with its wonderful array of places to eat, drink and shop that give Kinsale its name as the Gourmet Capital of Ireland.  Access to the apartment is by the elevator from the underground car park where there is a designated off-street space assigned to the apartment. There is also a code accessed pedestrian gate at the front of the building. It has a very spacious open plan living room/ kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, hob plate and all the crockery, cutlery and glassware you will require during your stay. There is dining a table and chairs to seat all 6 guests. The TV is connected to a local decoder and will receive a multitude of stations. The heating is electric and the water heating is by typical immersion type controls.  17 Shearwater has three bedrooms so in all, the apartment can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. The master double bedroom is ensuite and the other double bedroom and the twin bedroom share access to the family bathroom. Wifi is available free of charge to guests. Follow the hallway to the right past the first of 3 rooms and you enter into a beautifully decorated open plan living space with marble fireplace, antique mirror and artwork. The windows on three sides offer stunning views. You will find comfy couches and a Smart TV and a small library to enjoy. From the fireside seating area you go up two steps into a dining area with an eight seater oak dining table and chairs. Off the dining area, there is a very well equipped kitchen with plenty of counter space and kitchen appliances which include a coffee maker, blender, food processor and a steamer/rice cooker. From the dining area you enter a back porch which opens onto an attractive stone patio with glass panelling, stainless steel railings and patio furniture. A second patio to the front of the cottage catches the evening sun and is equipped with a fire pit/barbecue, table and chairs. Built for the Harbour Master nearly 200 years ago, The Quay House has been sensitively restored and now offers guest accommodation in fourteen bedrooms (all different) with full bathrooms – all but three overlook the Harbour. Family portraits, period furniture, cosy fires and a warm Irish welcome make for a unique atmosphere of comfort and fun. The Quay House is Clifden’s oldest building, dating from C1820. It was originally the Harbour Master’s house but later became a Franciscan monastery, then a convent and finally a hotel owned by the Pye family. The Quay House stands right on the harbour, just 7 minutes walk from Clifden town centre. All rooms are individually furnished with some good antiques and original paintings; several have working fireplaces. All have large bathrooms with tubs and showers and there is also one ground floor room for wheelchair users.
