From here you can easily explore both the east, west and inland Algarve but Olhão is perhaps most famous as the access point to the beautiful and peaceful islands of Armona and Culatra by ferry. There are public and private ferry options available. Private ferries can be taken directly in front of the apartment while the public ferries are just about 10 minutes walking away in the main harbour. Transit You can easily get around on foot or use public transport or a taxi/uber to travel around. If you wish to explore the larger Algarve area, a hire car is recommended. You can park for free in front of the apartment. There are no reserved spaces but normally there is plenty of space.
