The Property Manager team’s opinion - Chalet Manoe is set in a beautifully tranquil location in Comburce, near Manigod, with incredible views over the Aravis valley. You’ll definitely need a car to get around when you stay here, but you’ll be rewarded with fabulous sunsets, dark skies for stargazing and total privacy. It’s just 4km to the pretty village of Manigod, but why would you want to leave the chalet when you’ve got a sunny, south-facing terrace, a sauna, hot tub and in summer (May to September), an outdoor swimming pool and sundeck? If you’re visiting in winter, you’ll be just a short drive from the pistes at Croix Fry. In summer, the surrounding mountains are criss-crossed with walking and cycling trails. The chalet has a ski room, laundry room, a bathroom and the bunk room on the lower ground floor. You’ll find a shower room and  three double bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room, on the next floor up. Above that is the bright and airy living area with a fully-equipped kitchen, a cosy seating area with a large sofa and chairs around a log fire, and a stylish fully-equipped kitchen. Doors lead out on to the sunny balcony where you can enjoy an apero as you drink in the fabulous views. The spacious terrace is at the side of the chalet - it’s a great place for a barbecue on a summer evening. Lazy days can be spent in the hot tub, the bubble sauna, or in the pool  - wherever you choose, you’ll be surrounded by stunning panoramas. There are steps up from the large parking area to the upper floors of the chalet, so Chalet Manor is not suitable for those with limited mobility. However, we think it’s a great choice for two or three families with children who enjoy the great outdoors, mountain sports and peace and quiet. If required, and requested in advance, a Fiat Panda 4x4 is available for you to borrow for groceries and luggage during winter. Please note that this car is only insured for round trips to the Town Hall parking lot. Please bear in mind that if the roads are snowy, it will be impossible for you to access the chalet without a 4x4 vehicle equipped with snow tyres and / or snow chains. The chalet has two double bedrooms, two family rooms each with a double and a single bed, and a twin room. We love the fact that all of the rooms have en suite shower rooms, and there’s a WC on each floor. The two seating areas are also a great idea - a fixed sofa and bench seating by the fire in the main living room, and another TV/games room on the top floor, where younger guests can play or watch a film. The kitchen is open to the dining area, but has everything you need if you’re cooking for yourselves. It is a 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms restored farmhouse for 8 (max 7 adults) spread over 2 floors, and 170m2 of floor space.  The Property Manager team’s opinion - The first floor is a large open plan space with a more contemporary sofa area, a bunk room corner (which is not closed off completely) a library, a play area and a double ensuite bedroom, the roof of which forms the floor of a mezzanine area which is another double sleeping area, beneath the eaves of the chalet, open to and overlooking the the rest of the first floor. The photos and 360 degree virtual tour photos on the website describe the spaces perhaps more clearly than these words!  The chalet sits above the road 1km from the slopes at Croix Fry , 6km from Manigod village, ensuring easy access to the hill for nervous drivers even in heavy snow conditions. The south facing balcony is a perfect spot from which to view the Tour de France when it passes this way. With superb views from the terrace outside the dining area, and the sauna in the mazot, Arsene and Lea is one unique property that we know family groups and groups of friends appreciate tremendously. Please note that Chalet Arsène & Léa is situated on the main road to the Col de la Croix Fry (where the ski fields are), which makes it very convenient in winter but does mean that in busy periods there can be a fair amount of traffic noise. The owner requires a €1,000 damage and excess cleaning guarantee to be set up before arrival. No funds are taken or blocked on your card. Your card details are securely held for up to 14 days after departure.
