The over-the-water deck provides access to the waters down below via a spiraling staircase. However, the best and safest way to enter the water will be from either of the sandy beach lots next door. Guests have used this beach to host small weddings, rehearsal dinners, and private events. The snorkeling here is incredible. The reef is about 100 yards straight out from Toki Beach. The homes on the oceanfront in Rum Point offer great reef-protected snorkeling. The beaches usually have plenty of white sand, but can also have spots of rocky “ironshore”. We recommend wearing pool shoes or fins for foot protection. The big draw to this area is the Rum Point Club, a public beachfront destination with beach service, food + drinks, a gift shop, excursions, and snorkeling. Also nearby is the Kaibo, another seaside dining spot with a cafe, beach bar & grill, and a fine dining restaurant. ***OCEAN DEBRIS & SARGASSUM*** Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer.
