Our home is located in the little community of Wawona, 6 miles INSIDE the south entrance of Yosemite National Park. It makes a wonderful home base while you explore and play in Yosemite. Depending on the season, there is always something special to enjoy! During the summer, you have the opportunity to relax in the Merced River & cascading waterfalls, enjoy a hike to nearby Chilnualna Falls, the Swinging Bridge, and the Meadow Loop Trail. T Enjoy fine dining & play golf at the historic Wawona Hotel, go horseback riding, enjoy Ranger walks and talks, or visit the Living History Center. In the fall, the colors are spectacular as you enjoy the walking path around the golf course of the nearby historic Wawona Hotel. See the nearby famous Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. In the winter, the family-friendly Badger Pass Ski Area offers snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, cross-country ski tours, and in Yosemite Valley enjoy the outdoor ice skating rink. In the spring, the rivers and waterfalls throughout the Park, including nearby Chilnualna Falls, are nothing short of awe-inspiring.
