The first thing we notice in Casa Pace when we walk through the door? Those delightful beamed ceilings. So Roman. So elegant. It gives this superb two-bedroom apartment (sleeping four) a feeling of height, light and space that’s hard to find.
It’s clear, too, that the property lends itself to social occasions. The lounge, with its vintage furniture, is laid out in the round; its separate dining space, begging to be used for long Roman lunch. Hire a private chef and make it happen. Buon appetito.
Antique furniture, frescoed walls and parquet flooring are the hallmarks of this heritage property. But that’s not the whole story: the property owner’s tastes for clean lines (check out that kitchen) and contemporary art offer balance and harmony.
Being so closely located to Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori has its benefits, too. Particularly on those warm Italian evenings, when both spaces come alight with locals looking to eat and socialise amid the architectural splendour of Renaissance Rome.
