The Hideaway cabin is a modern rendition of a classic rural retreat. Located on a flat, wooded lot at Bryce Resort, this cabin speaks to those who want a simple, quiet, and cozy getaway. Covered porches in front and back encourage lounging in any weather, while the fire pit calls for casual conversation in the evenings. Access to the home includes three steps up to entry level from the large flat driveway. It’s a short 1.4 mile drive to the Resort’s main lodge and ski/bike lifts, and a one mile drive to the Basye Community Store, Burn Barrel tavern, RHouse Wine Bar & Cafe, and Pale Fire Brewing.

FEATURES & AMENITIES:
This cabin features a large living room with comfy furniture, a huge Smart TV, stone gas log fireplace and two ceiling fans - perfect for cozy movie nights and afternoons watching sports. Beyond the living room awaits a large kitchen and dining area. The kitchen features authentic cabin-style cabinets, granite countertops, and new stainless steel appliances. It includes basic cookware, tableware, and both basket-style drip coffee maker (filters provided, but please bring your favorite grind) and a Kuerig machine (k-cups provided). The countertop bar/peninsula seats three, while the dining table seats up to six. A pantry and full-size washer & dryer are steps away from the kitchen. A half-bathroom serves all main level gathering areas. The primary bedroom is off the main hallway and features a queen bed and full en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.
Access the upstairs bedrooms and full bathroom from the foyer. Both bedrooms are bright with the light of two windows each and enchant adults and kids alike with unique roof angles. One upstairs bedroom includes a queen bed and the other has two twin trundle beds. Both bedrooms access the upstairs full bathroom in the hallway, which has its own unique ceiling angles. The first bedroom also offers a peaceful work nook overlooking the woods through the dormer window. This cabin sleeps 6-8 comfortably - ideal for vacationing families with kiddos.
Get outside and enjoy the covered front porch rocking chairs, or the comfy lounge furniture on the back covered screened-in porch. Cook up your favorite meal on the gas grill. Gather around the fire pit for laughs and sharing tall tales. This home has something for everyone...and plenty of room to spread out.
We supply the cabin with bedding (pillows, bedspreads, blankets), fresh bed linens, one towel set per max occupants, one travel-size bar soap per max occupants, two rolls toilet paper per bathroom, four dishwasher tabs, five trash bags, one small trash bag per bathroom, one paper towel roll, two kitchen dish towels, one travel-size dish soap, and one scrubby pad. We encourage guests with large groups, or who are staying several nights, or who are heavy users of consumable supplies to bring extra supplies or purchase them at the local Basye Community Store.
The great room smart TV allows guests to log into popular streaming apps. WiFi internet is provided by 400+mbps WiFi, which can handle almost any online activity you can imagine.

This is a Self-Check-In unit. You’ll receive check-in instructions seven days prior to arrival (or immediately if booking within seven days) that include the property’s address, driving directions, a unique Key Code, WiFi instructions, and other important information.
This property has a gas grill and a fire pit. Firewood can be purchased from the kiosk at our office (2565 Orkney Grade), the Basye Community Store, and several other roadside offerings along Orkney Grade.
Summertime guests have unlimited access to the Property Manager pool at our reception office (2565 Orkney Grade). The Bryce Landing (the Resort pool) is Bryce Resort member use only. See pictures of our pool in the unit listing. It’s private, rarely crowded, and open 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Quiet hours after 10:00 pm are strongly enforced by the local security and police.

Bryce Resort offers many activities and features throughout the year, including snow skiing/boarding, snow tubing, golf, Lake Laura swimming, canoeing, paddle boarding, paddle boating, and kayaking, and a thrill-filled lift-accessed mountain bike park. Bryce Resort is also the perfect launch point for many other adventures in the northern Shenandoah Valley, including hiking, fishing, hot air ballooning, visiting wineries & breweries, exploring caverns, antiquing, enjoying the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival on summer Saturdays in nearby Orkney Springs, and so much more.
