Casa Batey sits in El Batey, the resort’s quieter residential pocket between the Marina and Altos de Chavón, on a single-level plot with a wide back lawn beyond the pool. Five bedrooms sleep ten, with an included cook handling the meals. The villa runs the length of the lawn on one floor. Glass walls slide back across the great room, opening it directly to the terrace and the pool beyond. The covered pavilion sits opposite the pool — a long wood deck under a slatted ceiling, deep enough to nap through the afternoon. The pool itself runs almost the full length of the villa, with a floating wooden island in the middle holding two curved loungers. A second plunge pool sits beside it for whoever wants quieter water. The primary bath opens through its own glass wall onto a walled garden, the rain shower set under the open sky. By dusk the palms behind the pool come on, the lawn glows under the uplighting, and dinner often happens here before anyone thinks about the Marina. From El Batey it’s a short ride to the Marina for dinner along the water, and another short ride to Altos de Chavón for the village’s restaurants and stone amphitheatre. The beach is a quick drive when someone wants the sand. The villa works for two families travelling together or a group of friends, with the cook handling the meals and the pavilion the place everyone ends up by mid-afternoon. RESORT FEE All guests renting private villas at Casa de Campo Resort are required to register to gain access to the resort and its amenities.
