Pull back the glass at Palm West in the morning and the lap pool runs the full length of the garden, long enough that two swimmers don’t have to take turns. Las Palmas fronts Dye Fore’s Marina nine, with the 5th fairway past the back lawn and the Marina itself a short ride down the road. The villa sleeps ten across five en-suites, with an included cook handling the meals. By midday, the group has scattered. Someone is on the billiards table inside; others are in the media lounge or out in the garden. Each of the five bedrooms opens to its own walled garden bathroom, with outdoor showers in three of them. There’s no shortage of places to disappear for an hour. At sundown, the long table seats twelve in the open air under the dining pavilion. Las Palmas puts you a short cart ride from the Marina for dinner or a boat day, and Altos de Chavón is the same distance for an evening on the square. Teeth of the Dog and The Links are a slightly longer ride for whoever wants a second round. RESORT FEE All guests renting private villas at Casa de Campo Resort are required to register to gain access to the resort and its amenities.
