Designed in the middle of the XX century as an holiday retreat for a very important Milanese family, villa Olgiasca sits on a gated sloped land of 30.000 sqm (7.4 acres) enjoying the magnificent view of the Como lake with the mountains beyond.
The view, the light and the strong relationship between the interiors and nature are the main features of this dream villa.
Located on Lake Como northern-east shore Villa Olgiasca with its glass panes and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, is designed following the ideas of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s modernist architecture style.
As you walk in you are greeted with the breathtaking lake view that can be seen from every room in the villa. The house focuses on entertainment with a large living and dining room that leads onto the outside panoramic terrace, the perfect setting for outdoor dining and sundowners.

Less is More: Villa Olgiasca is a work of art has wood panelled ceilings, stone floors, clean lines, pure use of colour, and the extension of space around and beyond the interiors. All glasses enclosures surround the house allowing nature and light to envelop the interior space.
The home’s decor boasts finest pieces of design furniture, outdoor are large terraces and relaxing areas, table football, table tennis.
The hot tub and the pool are at the top of the plot so you relax in the water looking over lake Como. In the garden there are also an orchard and aromatic herbs. There is also an outdoor dining area with BBQ and beer fridge, as well as a breakfast area.
The land is 30,000 sq mt and follows a path to the lake with cypresses and broadleaf forest.
From the garden a steep path leads to the lake, about 10 - 15 minutes walking. This path is not suitable for people with walking difficulties.

Colico is 7 km north has any kind of shops including a shopping center. The small town is a local transport hub, with navigation service to Como and Lecco, as well as easy trains and roads to Milan (via the eastern shore of the lake, Lecco and Brianza), to Chiavenna, and eastwards to Bolzano, via Passo dello Stelvio.
Varenna is 14 km far here you can visit Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi. The car ferry operates from Varenna to Bellagio and Menaggio.
Moto Guzzi Museum in Mandello is 25 km far
If you love Alps landscapes you can reach Madesimo (aprox 50 min drive/59 km), on the road to the Swiss Splügen pass (60 km). It is also possible to visit St. Moritz and Engadina Valley 75 km, aprox hr 1 drive. Tour Olgiasca /Tirano / St Moritz / Chiavenna / Olgiasca 249 km.

Villa Olgiasca develops on three levels:
At the ENTRANCE LEVEL is a fully equipped modern kitchen with large fridge, stove, dishwasher, oven, American coffee maker, toaster, kettle. Toilet room (wc and basin) single bedroom (lake view) with an extra pull out bed. Double bedroom (lake view) with ensuite bathroom (shower). On this floor there is also a small fitness room ( tapis roulant, pilates and yoga tools ).
10 steps down is the dining room with table for 11+1 people and fireplace (cannot be used).
6 steps down is the living room and social areas with large comfy sofas and wide screen TV, the use of clear floor-to-ceiling glass opens the interior to its natural surroundings. The villa is great even in winter months. In the summer open up the doors and enjoy the majestic views and fresh breeze!
A laundry room with washing machine is located in the basement.
UPSTAIRS there are 4 bedrooms each one has TV SAT and enjoys great lake view and 2 full bathrooms + 1 toilet room:
