Villa Lanterna

Villa Lanterna is located along the road leading from Sorrento to Amalfi. The villa is stylish and boasts magnificent sea views set in a peaceful location. The villa is bright, warm and welcoming, it has high vaulted ceilings, archways, flooring with antique terracotta tiles. The owner has renovated it to a high standard and the interiors are immaculately put together with a blend of antique and modern furnishings. Villa Lanterna has been built on three levels each connected by stone staircases. From the garden, twelve steps take guests up to the ground floor accommodation composed of a sitting area, a spacious dining room with view of Amalfi, one double bedroom with sea view, one double/twin bedroom with French window facing onto the back of the villa. Both bedrooms have TV, independent air-conditioning/ heating units and en-suite bathrooms with shower. Entrance onto the middle floor of the house is straight from the garden. On the right side, is a superb fully fitted kitchen (electric oven, 3 small fridges, freezer, espresso coffee maker, dishwasher), with dining table, marble open fireplace, and window looking out to the rear of the villa. From the kitchen, a small corridor leads to a spacious double/twin bedroom, a sitting area, and an elegant bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. Both the sitting room and the bedroom have access to the terrace overlooking the sea. On the left side of the hallway, there are two further double bedrooms that share a bathroom with shower. The top floor of the building is reached directly from the garden by means of external stairway (25 steps). Entrance is onto a large solarium terrace enjoying wonderful sea views. It is furnished with wrought iron tables and chairs, built-in seating, outdoor shower and deck chairs. Seven steps lead down into a romantic attic accommodation composed of a dining room with sloping ceiling, a kitchenette (2 electric hotplates and small fridge), a double/twin bedroom, and a bathroom with shower. The large garden terrace offers a fantastic outdoor space for sunbathing or for dining ’al fresco’ while admiring the stunning landscape. Part of the terrace is paved and shaded by olive trees and large awnings. It benefits from a lovely pool (6m x 8m, depth 1.10m-1.60m; open April - October), an outdoor shower, a dining table for 12 people, deck-chairs and barbecue.
