Puglia is known above all as the Italian region with the most and most beautiful olive trees and turquoise blue beaches where you can walk endlessly into the sea. The stone and farmhouses known from Tuscany are called Lamia and Masseria here - some have already been renovated and operate as beauty farms or luxury hotels.
All this is on offer here and much more besides - thousands of olive trees grow in the countryside, which in due course become the green gold of Puglia - extra virgin olive oil.
The holiday home is surrounded by peaceful private grounds, protected by dry stone walls that enclose an atrium with pool, garden and solarium.
It is the restoration of an old lamia that served the farmer who cultivated and worked the land. All enclosed in four hectares of centuries-old olive grove, between the walls of a blue sky, views of the sea and red earth, of this magical land that never tires, in the plain of monumental olive trees a few kilometres from the ‘White City’ of Ostuni.
The holiday home LAMIA has been restored in typical Apulian style, which is not just a ‘construction work’, but a true art of restoration to enhance pieces of history, so that they are perfectly integrated for tourist and residential purposes. Exposed vaults, lime milk plaster, cement tiles, eco-friendly earthenware floors and bathrooms, ceramics and fabrics from the region. Everything for those who want to spend moments of beauty and relaxation in contact with nature and the scents of the Mediterranean scrub. Nest Lamia is an open-plan loft with living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
LIVING ROOM: Mezzanine with sofa, dining table, TV.
KITCHEN: Induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, oven and microwave.
BATHROOM: 2 private bathrooms with shower.
BEDROOMS: 2, one of which is in the open loft with two single beds, while the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and a double bed.
AIR CONDITIONING: hot/cold.
The guests’ stay is also enlivened by a PANORAMIC TERRACE with a splendid view of Ostuni, a view of the sea and plant sculptures of olive trees, furnished to await the sunset in absolute relaxation. Immersed in the green of the olive trees and the typical Mediterranean vegetation, the WHITE SWIMMING POOL with salt filtration is lost in the white of the surrounding paving, made with green building materials that guarantee breathability to the warmth of the sun. The pool is equipped with sun loungers and parasols.
The outdoor area is completed by a gazebo with wooden beams and a covered roof, furnished with a table and benches made from olive trees salvaged from trunks affected by the Xylella parasite plague, as well as a barbecue and an outdoor gas cooker.
GARDEN Traditional Mediterranean, aloe, prickly pear, bougainvillea, lantana, jasmine, aromatic plants, a small vegetable garden, figs and an orchard complete the outdoor area.
These scents immediately transport you to the atmosphere of a relaxed, elegant Apulian summer holiday.
