South of 30A on a tree-lined, gated dead-end street, Emerald Rose is a wonderful beach house offering easy access to sugar-sand beaches, two community pools, the state forest, and the 19-mile bike/walk/run trail. Just across the street, Greenway Station has restaurants, coffee shops, bike rentals, and shopping, while the quiet, sought-after neighborhood of Summer’s Edge provides direct access to the beach via a private easement. Chair rentals are available at the end of the walkover, making the beach just a short walk from the house.
Emerald Rose is designed for comfort and privacy. The main living area is on the second floor, featuring nine-foot ceilings, abundant natural light, a newly renovated kitchen, and two decks. The living area includes two couches (one pullout), a large-screen TV (YouTube TV), a half bath, and spaces for dining, from a cozy café table to a formal dining area that seats six to eight. The updated kitchen has ample cabinetry, high-end appliances, and a breakfast bar for two. The upstairs balcony offers a sunny retreat with seating, and the tranquil master bedroom features balcony access, a walk-in closet, and a private bathroom with a large shower.
On the first floor, a screened-in porch spans the width of the house, providing fresh coastal air and the occasional sound of Gulf waves. There’s a TV and play area for kids, a queen bedroom with TV, and a kids’ bedroom with twin-over-twin bunk beds and a renovated bathroom with tub/shower combo. A second master bedroom with a king bed and private bathroom completes the first floor.
Emerald Rose sits on North Ryan Drive. Turn right to reach the pools and beach, or turn left to access the bike/walking trail and Greenway Station. The tree-lined street is safe and welcoming for children to play and ride bikes. Owned by the same family for 21 years, pride of ownership is evident in the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, and the owners consider Emerald Rose “home,” even while living in Cincinnati.
30A’s 19-mile bike/walk/run trail is just at the end of the street! By foot, by bike, or by car, you can enjoy all that 30A has to offer. Seaside is 2.2 miles from Emerald Rose’s door, and Summer’s Edge at mile marker 12 puts Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, and more within easy reach. Explore the state parks, coastal dune lakes, and Eden Gardens (four miles away), with Destin and Panama City just a 30-minute drive.
