Enjoy luxury on a grand scale at this striking independent villa with large private garden, jacuzzi and plunge pool in central Sorrento
While there’s no shortage of apartments and hotels in central Sorrento, finding a villa that offers traditional charm, a private garden and a level of indulgence equal to that provided by 5-star hotels is slightly trickier.
Which is what makes Villa Ebe so exceptional. This splendid 3-bedroom villa extends over 320m², sitting amidst extensive lawns right in the heart of Sorrento. Piazza Tasso, the beating heart of the city, is less than a 5-minute walk away, which means everything from shops and restaurants to transport links is at your fingertips.
With its imposing stone walls and large-scale dimensions, the villa provides an experience that easily sets it apart from a standard villa holiday in Sorrento. Outside, oversized terraces furnished with bench seating and chairs provide dazzling, sweeping views over a grand-scale garden with verdant lawns shaded by citrus and palm trees.
The interiors match the garden in terms of both scale and style, with generously sized rooms that are elegantly furnished with a nod to tradition. Accessed from the terrace through magnificent double wooden doors and several sets of French windows, the light-filled ground-floor living room is furnished with two double-seater sofas.
An archway leads from here to the separate dining area with an 8-seater table. The kitchen (door from the dining room) retains several original features and is superbly equipped with a large marble worktop and an extensive range of appliances.
A striking spiral staircase leads to the three spacious bedrooms and bathrooms which each occupy one floor of the villa, providing privacy and a high level of luxury.

About the area
Sorrento, Italy, perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its bustling marinas, is a destination that epitomizes the idyllic Italian coastal experience. Known for its sweeping water views, historic charm, and vibrant citrus groves, Sorrento is a place where the beauty of the Amalfi Coast begins.
The town's historic core, with its narrow alleys and quaint piazzas, invites leisurely exploration. The Piazza Tasso, named after the poet Torquato Tasso, is the central hub of Sorrento life, lined with cafes and bustling with activity. The Chiesa di San Francesco, with its tranquil cloister, is a serene retreat and a popular venue for local events and weddings.
Sorrento's culinary offerings are a highlight, with an abundance of restaurants serving fresh seafood, authentic Neapolitan pizza, and the region's famous limoncello, a sweet lemon liqueur. The town's surrounding countryside is dotted with lemon and olive groves, and local farms often offer tours and tastings that provide a glimpse into the region's agricultural heritage.
For history enthusiasts, the Museo Correale di Terranova houses a collection of Neapolitan paintings, decorative arts, and archaeological finds. Meanwhile, the ancient ruins of the Roman town of Pompeii and the volcanic crater of Mount Vesuvius are just a short trip away, offering a profound look into Italy's past.
Sorrento also serves as a gateway to the rest of the Amalfi Coast, with easy access to the picturesque towns of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. The scenic drive along the coast is renowned for its breathtaking views and hairpin turns, while ferries from Sorrento's marinas provide a more relaxed route to explore the coastline and the nearby island of Capri.
For those looking to immerse themselves in nature, the nearby hiking trails, such as the Path of the Gods, offer panoramic vistas of the coastline and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The clear blue waters also beckon visitors to enjoy a variety of water sports, including sailing, swimming, and snorkeling.
Sorrento's blend of natural beauty, historical richness, and cultural vibrancy makes it a destination that appeals to romantics, adventurers, and culture seekers alike. Whether you're sipping a cappuccino in a piazza, exploring ancient ruins, or watching the sunset from a cliffside garden, Sorrento captures the essence of the Italian dolce vita.
