Lewis Bay Getaway
Scenically set on a beautiful acre of land designed for summer barbecues and family lawn games, this West Yarmouth home brings elegance, ease, and comfort to any Cape Cod getaway. Spend sun-splashed days swimming and boogie boarding, with an association beach just a block down the road.
The location of this two-story home is as convenient as they come, with Ocean Harbor Estates Private Beach at the end of the street on Lewis Bay. Beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, sand toys, and an outdoor shower are even provided to make the most of your days in the sun. The center of Hyannis is only a mile west, where you’ll find an array of shops and restaurants in addition to the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum, ferries to Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard, and Harbor Hawks games at McKeon Park.
A beloved Cape Cod retreat that has been in the same family for over 60 years, the house was lovingly rebuilt from top to bottom in 2014. Today, it has an open, sunny spaciousness not typically found on the Cape. The rooms are generous and comfortable, from the living room and family room (both with smart TVs) to the gorgeous kitchen and dining area. The kitchen in particular was designed for special family gatherings, offering stainless steel appliances, a large island, and windows that look out over the backyard.
The grounds are beautiful and private - a place to do a bit of morning yoga (mats are provided), let your kids run free in the grass, and barbecue on the paver patio. Here in the privacy provided by the surrounding woods, you can dine alfresco at sunset and gather around the gas firepit once the evening air turns chilly. When it’s time to turn in, all four bedrooms are on the second floor, including one with its own TV.
