Designed for guests to relax, reconnect, and recharge, The Lovely Cabin is nestled in a secluded, yet accessible private mountain community with quick access to activities and attractions in town. Featuring an open floor plan, the fully-equipped kitchen is ready for the chef in your group to entertain. Groups traveling with kids will appreciate the upper-level loft with a pull-out sleeper sofa, TV, and half bath. For additional sleeping space, the living area also includes a sleeper sofa. The huge wrap-around deck offers a peaceful place to discover the outdoors in any season with a gas grill and deck furnishings. Step off the deck to sit by the fire pit with comfortable seating. Wake up and enjoy a fresh cup of local coffee from Dynamite Roasting Company with a woodland view as the morning sun fills the open living space.
When you’re ready, take a short 20-minute drive to reach the "Front Porch of Western North Carolina," Black Mountain, which boasts 2 local breweries (Lookout Brewing and Black Mountain Brewing) along with novelty shops, parks, and incredible restaurants like Fresh Woodfired Pizza & Pasta, Louise’s Kitchen, and La Guinguette. Return home in the afternoon for a cozy read or nap in the cocoon rattan chairs next to the vintage electric Malm fireplace. On the days you’re seeking a bustling and high-energy experience, travel to the creative and eccentric city of Asheville, just 35 minutes away. Both Black Mountain and Asheville offer several art galleries, upscale boutiques, and award-winning restaurants and breweries guaranteed to keep you entertained for hours on end.
Remember that no trip to Asheville is complete without visiting America’s Largest Home", the Biltmore Estate! During the warmer spring and summer months, take time to visit the towns of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock just 25 minutes away where you can spend the day browsing the village shops, playing a round or two of mini-golf, snapping some selfies in front of the vintage postcard murals, hiking the various trails within Chimney Rock State Park, or soaking up the sun on Lake Lure’s mountain beach. After a full day of activities, wind down with a cold beer at Hickory Nut Gorge Brewery or a glass of locally-made wine at Burntshirt Vineyards before returning home to enjoy a soak in the jetted tub (primary bedroom). As night falls, enjoy a glass of wine while you count the fireflies or the stars from either the wrap-around deck or the outdoor firepit to mark the end of a day well spent.
Please note: This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee. For families traveling with children, there is a Pack N’ Play (with a mattress and crib sheet) and a booster seat for your convenience. The driveway has been converted from concrete to chip and seal as of April 2023. As a result, 4WD/AWD is not required but recommended. The satellite WIFI is NOT unlimited. It is best for checking emails and surfing the web. While available, excessive use of movie/music streaming or playing games through the internet may result in it being shut off.
