Whether you’re looking for an extended vacation or are in between homes, Liberty Bear is perfect for families or couples looking to work remotely and provides all the comforts of home in a tranquil and convenient setting. At approximately 2100 square feet, this spacious home offers 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a dedicated workspace, a cozy, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, high-speed internet, 2 car garage (with space for 1 vehicle), and an unrivaled fenced backyard area with a deck, outdoor fire pit, and small stream.
Liberty Bear Retreat is a short walk to beautiful Lake Tomahawk which features a walking path around the lake, a playground, a public swimming pool, tennis courts, and a picnic pavilion. It’s a 20-minute walk to downtown Black Mountain, where you’ll enjoy exploring everything this charming mountain town has to offer, including delicious restaurants and bakeries, coffee shops and breweries, chic boutiques, and farmers’ markets. It’s less than a 10-minute drive to Montreat where you’ll find gorgeous hiking trails and the Robert Lake Playground, a 12-minute drive to the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway, a 15-minute drive to The Cove Training Center, and a 20-minute drive to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.

Main level- Great room with vaulted ceilings and Smart TV (streaming only); Dining area with seating for 6 and kitchen bar with seating for 4; Well-equipped kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, and standard coffee maker; Owner’s suite with king bed and en suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower; Powder room.
Upper level- Bedroom with a queen bed; Full hall bath with shower/tub combo; Washer and dryer; Loft area with convertible game table (foosball, pool, and air hockey); Bedroom with a twin daybed & twin trundle, dedicated workspace, a TV with Roku (streaming only).
Outdoors- Back deck with a gas grill, pub table, outdoor dining table with seating for 6; Fenced backyard with walking paths, an outdoor fire pit, and a small scenic stream. Two-Car Garage (with space for 1 vehicle).
Liberty Bear Retreat rents monthly with a 28-night minimum stay requirement. Included with the monthly rent is a $150 monthly utility allowance for power, gas, and water. Any overages are to be reimbursed by the tenant. PLEASE NOTE: Small dogs under 30 lbs are welcome with an additional pet fee. We’re so sorry, but no cats. The wood-burning fireplace in the living room is NOT usable. This home is NON-smoking.
