Liberty Bear Retreat is a short walk to beautiful Lake Tomahawk which features a walking path around the lake, a playground, a public swimming pool, tennis courts, and a picnic pavilion. It’s a 20-minute walk to downtown Black Mountain, where you’ll enjoy exploring everything this charming mountain town has to offer, including delicious restaurants and bakeries, coffee shops and breweries, chic boutiques, and farmers’ markets. It’s less than a 10-minute drive to Montreat where you’ll find gorgeous hiking trails and the Robert Lake Playground, a 12-minute drive to the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway, a 15-minute drive to The Cove Training Center, and a 20-minute drive to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate.

Liberty Bear Retreat rents monthly with a 28-night minimum stay requirement. Included with the monthly rent is a $150 monthly utility allowance for power, gas, and water. Any overages are to be reimbursed by the tenant. PLEASE NOTE: Small dogs under 30 lbs are welcome with an additional pet fee. We’re so sorry, but no cats. The wood-burning fireplace in the living room is NOT usable. This home is NON-smoking.
