The Neighborhood

Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, just over an hour north of Midtown Manhattan, the town of Monroe, in Orange County, NY, is a bucolic, picturesque setting, a family-friendly destination and quintessential Catskill foothills vacation getaway. Monroe was incorporated in 1799 and includes the Village of Monroe and Village of Harriman. In ancient times, Monroe was the land of the Lenepe Indians and the domain of the prehistoric Mastodon. Glaciers left behind rich, fertile farmland, and important access to the Hudson River. Monroe has plenty of historic attractions; step back in time to an 18th-century village in colonial America at the Museum Village. This estate is close to celebrated local destinations such as Ananda Ashram (headquarters of the Yoga Society of New York) and Clove Acres Riding Academy. Brotherhood (America’s Oldest Winery) is an 8-minute drive, Palaia Winery and Meadery is a 13-minute drive. Great hiking, parks, cycling, rock climbing, scenic Hudson River vistas and spectacular fall foliage opportunities are also nearby. Schunnemunk State Park is a 4-minute drive, Moodna Viaduct is a 6-minute drive, and Fitzgerald Falls, where the Appalachian Trail passes through Monroe, is a 7-minute drive. Check out Sterling Forest State Park, Harriman State Park, Bear Mountain State Park, Rockefeller State Park Preserve and Buttermilk Falls County Park. Here in Monroe, fertile summer farmland and deep, lush forests will bring serenity to your soul. There are numerous nearby farmers' markets, orchards, pumpkin patches, etc. Golf is also nearby. Check out the beautiful, world-class course at The Golf Club at Mansion Ridge, which also boasts an excellent restaurant. When the snow falls, mountain recreation beckons! This estate is close to ski slopes such as Mount Peter Ski Area, Victor Constant Ski Area at West Point, Mountain Creek Resort, Catamount Mountain Ski Resort, Thunder Ridge Ski Area, Windham Mountain, Gorge Mountain and High Point Cross Country Ski Center. Payment and Cancellation - 60 Day Policy

Grace Period:

  • Guests may cancel for free provided that: (1) reservation is canceled within 48-hours of reservation confirmation, and (2) reservation was confirmed at least 11 days before scheduled arrival.

Payment Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: Guests pay 100% at time of reservation.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: Guests pay 50% at time of reservation, the remaining 50% will be charged 60 days prior to arrival.
  • For guests paying with Points or Cash & Points: 100% of payment of both Cash & Points will be deducted at time of reservation, once booking is verified within 48 hours.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 60 days or less prior to arrival: No refund issued, unless ‘Grace Period’ applies.
  • More than 60 days before arrival: 100% refund.

House Rules

  • The pool is only available from March 15-October 1.
  • Pool maintenance is scheduled weekly, every Wednesday and Sunday.
  • While the barbecue grill is available for your use, please note that we do not provide propane for the grill. If you plan on having a barbecue during your stay, kindly bring your own propane canister to fuel the grill. This will help you enjoy your outdoor cooking without any interruptions.
  • The pool will be closed on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
  • The ice maker isn't working because it's not hooked up to the water, but no worries – the fridge itself is up and running just fine!
  • I want to make sure you have a pleasant, hassle-free stay! To ensure you have the best experience possible and to maintain the property and the good relationship with the community, here are additional house rules:
  • • Lost keys or forgotten keys incur a replacement fee; the minimum charge is $300
  • • Any type of illegal activity is strictly prohibited
  • • Unauthorized early check-in and late check-out charge is $500 plus the equivalent amount of the night(s) impacted
  • • Please complete the verification, and either pay a $1000 refundable security deposit (which will be returned after check-out) This process is managed by the verification platform Superhog.
  • Please follow the house rules to avoid additional fees and security deposit charge.
