Retro Metro Deck House is located 20 minutes from the quaint towns of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, and 15 minutes from Asheville, in the quiet community of Fairview, dotted with picturesque farmland. Hickory Nut Gap Farm is best known for its meat supply to Asheville’s farm-to-table restaurants and for its seasonal festivals and events. For more farm fun, visit sustainable Flying Cloud Farm, where you can treat yourself to a colorful U-pick bouquet of native flowers, veggies, greens, and fruits. Once you’ve had your fill of country charm, head into Asheville for shopping, dining, and the vibrant art scene that defines the mountains of Western North Carolina. For area hiking, check out Bearwallow Mountain Trail, an easy one-mile hike that leads to a grassy meadow at the summit and features nearly 360° views, including Mt. Mitchell and Mt. Pisgah.
