Villa Angela is a lakefront property located 10 kilometers north of Menaggio on the northwest shore of Lake Como. The house is situated in a unique setting and provides access to the beach.
The property includes private parking, a heated swimming pool, a panoramic sun patio, and a large private garden directly overlooking the lake promenade and the beach.
Outside, the property sits just on the shore of the lake, a few meters from the public beach. In the large private garden, there is a swimming pool (7 x 4 x 1.10 meters), heated from the second week of May until the third week of September. During other seasons, it can be heated, if required, for an extra cost. Behind the house, there is a private parking area. The village (with all shops) is about 600 meters from the property.
Villa Angela is only a few steps from Villa Meridiana, so the two properties could be rented together for large parties.
Please note: This is not an isolated property. A pedestrian path runs along the shore between the lake and the property. For this reason, privacy outside could be a bit limited, especially during July and August. Nonetheless, this path offers a pleasant opportunity to enjoy the lakeshore on foot. With Villa Angela at your back, walking 2 minutes towards the left side, you can reach the charming Marina with its cozy Lounge Bar "PortoDiciotto." Alternatively, walking 5 minutes towards the right side, you can reach the public ferry boat stop and a pair of nice restaurants.

Visit the "Museo della Barca Lariana" just a few meters from the villa. The museum features hundreds of boats that played an important part in the nautical history of the lake from the 19th century to today. Among them, there is a Venetian gondola from the 1800s, which was built on Lake Como, and a Cisco, a typical English sailing boat also from the last century. The museum is open to the public from Friday to Sunday (afternoon, 2 pm-6 pm). During other days of the week, the museum can be visited only by appointment. Guests staying at the villa can enter for free. The museum is also the perfect venue for events, parties, weddings, etc. Please inquire!
Tourist sites: Bellagio, known as the ’pearl of the lake’ thanks to its position between the two arms of the lake, the medieval village of Varenna, Tremezzo with the neo-classical Villa Carlotta (one of the most beautiful villas on the lake with its botanic garden and artistic masterpieces), the 16th-century Villa Balbianello in Lenno, Menaggio, Varenna (Villa Monastero), and Como with its important historical buildings.
Distances by car: Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo 20 minutes, Varenna and Bellagio 15 min by car + 15 min by ferry, Como 1 hr, Lugano (and nearest highway intersection) 1 hr, Milan city center 1.30 hr, Saint Moritz 2 hrs. It is necessary to have a car in this region.
Sport: The nearest golf course, tennis court, and equestrian club are 10 km away in Menaggio. There is also a tennis court in Pianello Lario, a 2-minute walk from the villa.
The Lake of Como and, in particular, the northern zone of the lake is renowned throughout Europe as an excellent sailing area - this is the windiest area of the lake and the most unspoiled. The Breva, a temperate breeze of Lake Como, blows during the afternoons, guaranteeing enjoyment for sailing, windsurfing, or kitesurfing. The area offers numerous alpine destinations and several trekking and mountain bike trails.
Shopping: The main factory outlet shops (Armani factory shop, Fox town, Ferragamo, Versace, Etro, Gucci, Mantero, Lario) are within 10-30 minutes from Como. Malpensa/Linate airports 1.5 hrs, Bergamo Orio al Serio airport 2 hrs, Saint Moritz 2 hrs, Venice 3.5 hrs, Florence 4 hrs.

The villa can accommodate 12 (+ 2) people in 6 double bedrooms with 6 private bathrooms. The villa also offers an additional staff bedroom with a dedicated bathroom, a large and sunny living room, and a dining room with an antique wooden table for up to 18 people.
Finished in 2019, Villa Angela with its spacious interior is the ideal holiday home for large parties. The overall property is about 2500sqm, while the building consists of two floors (each around 250 sqm) and a basement (200 sqm) with a laundry room and technical compartment. The finishes are quite precious: at the ground floor, the pavements are made with antique Lombard cotto tiles, while the stairs and the pavements on the first floor are made of chestnut wood, aged for 20 years before being treated and placed. The windows are all soundproofed for the perfect peace of the guests.
Ground floor:
There is a large and sunny living room with comfortable sofas, Satellite TV, DVD, WIFI, and a CD player. Near the spacious living room, there’s another sitting room with a lake view where a magnificent functioning grand piano is available for its players. This floor also features a modern and fully equipped kitchen (2 ovens, one blast chiller, 2 dishwashers, a large fridge with freezer, and a wide kitchen island), a large dining room with a wooden table for up to 18 people.
On the back of the kitchen, there’s also a small double bedroom (9 sqm) for 2 extra guests (French size bed, not divisible), with a dedicated bathroom (6.50 sqm), no AC. Additionally, there’s a storage closet on this floor. At the ground floor, there’s the Silver double bedroom (14 sqm), with its en-suite bathroom (8sqm), accessible by people with motor disabilities, no AC but a ceiling-mounted fan.
Basement:
From the spacious entrance at the back of the villa, guests have access to the stairs. Descending 16 steps, you find the laundry room (20 sqm), equipped with a washing machine, dryer, large sink, iron, and ironing board, and drying rack.
First floor:
Climbing up the stairs, you reach a sitting room with a terrace, and you find the other 5 AC double bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom:
- The first bedroom at the end of the stairs, on your right, is the Yellow Bedroom (14.50 sqm), with no lake view, just a garden view; the bathroom has a large shower and a single basin.
- Right near the Yellow, there’s the Orange Bedroom (23 sqm), with direct access to its own private terrace with a partial lake view; the bathroom has a large shower and double basins.
- At the end of the short corridor, on the right, there’s the Green Bedroom (22 sqm), which benefits from a double exposure with a great lake view (but no terrace); the bathroom has a tub and a single basin.
- At the end of the short corridor, on the left, there’s the Pink Bedroom (18 sqm), which benefits from a double exposure and a great lake view (but no terrace); the bathroom has a large shower and a single basin; the bathroom has access to a small terrace shared with the small sitting room.
- Between the Green and the Pink bedrooms, there’s the Lilac Master Bedroom (19.50 sqm), which has direct access to its own large terrace with a magnificent lake view; the bathroom has a large shower and double basins. All the beds can be prepared as double or twin.
Additionally, there is a “Bio Allergy friendly” room, featuring a system of natural and eco-friendly prophylaxis to eliminate microorganisms and allergens in the air, bed, fabrics, and surfaces of the room.
