THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The apartment is situated in an ideal location for those wishing to experience the old and the new Tel Aviv. Ben Yehuda Street, nearby has a very old history and was the site of several impressive synagogues, the first radio station - Kol Israel - and even the country’s first supermarket. Alongside these significant milestones there are restaurants, shops and cafés that invite visitors to delight in the Tel Aviv atmosphere and experience their Tel Aviv vacation to the fullest.
Other interesting streets nearby are Dizengoff, Allenby and Hayarkon Streets. In Dizengoff St. you can enjoy daily trips to boutiques, bakeries and magical pastry shops, and of course you can go to the shops in THE commercial center - Dizengoff Center. In Allenby Street you can visit the famous Opera Tower or the well-known “Tzalmania”. The latter was the first photography shop in Tel Aviv and offers a nostalgic tour of the past with its pre-digital photographic paraphernalia. At the end of Hayarkon Street is the famous Hayarkon Park where you can hike, picnic or go sailing in small boats and the Namal (Tel Aviv port).
GETTING AROUND
You can do everything on foot or rent a city bicycle from a nearby station on Dizengoff street. There are countless buses running from Dizengoff and Kind George streets which will take you about anywhere in Tel Aviv and around. If you plan on using buses or trains, you’ll need to purchase a RavKav card (available at the airport or in the train stations) and load some money on it using the RavKav app on your phone.
Lastly we recommend using the app Gett to order taxis when needed.
