Pigreco is located in the countryside of Ostuni, in the Itria Valley, in a context of total harmony characterized by unspoiled nature, natural and architectural beauties and perfect for alternating days at the beach with those exploring beautiful borghi such as Locorotondo and Alberobello. The property shows all the charm of the authentic constructions of the Apulian peasant tradition, the trullo (traditional Apulian dry stone hut with conical roof) and the lamia (Apulian rural construction), skilfully recouped with stone, wood and terracotta. Once past the entrance gate, you will be fascinated by the property: 13,500 sq m of land of "spontaneous architecture", with its particular composition similar to a courtyard, where each of the three bedrooms that compose the property is an independent suite, surrounded by olive trees with private outdoor areas equipped for relaxation. The suites are separated by characteristic dry stone walls and connected by stone paths adorned with trees of the Mediterranean scrub and fragrant lemon trees. The spacious kitchen-dining area is embellished by a courtyard equipped for outdoor dining and is ideal for convivial moments with family or friends. A patio used as a seating area, adorned with curtains and rugs, a gym and several set-up outdoor areas frame the splendid infinity pool and relaxing Jacuzzi that complete this wonderful property. Pigreco, just 3 km from Ostuni and 35 km from Brindisi airport, is located in a strategic point for easily reaching beaches and historical places, with the possibility of practicing outdoor sports such as horse riding and snorkelling, as well as participating in art courses or tastings of the endless food and wine delights offered by this area.
Interior:
The property consists of four adjacent residential units, connected to each other by external paths. The main lamia, characterized by barrel ceilings and large glass walls, contains a bathroom with shower and a dining room with a large, well-equipped open kitchen, overlooking the courtyard with built-in barbecue and dining table and which leads to the patio with seating area. Beyond the large patio is the first family suite with bathroom with shower, built inside a trullo with three cones which contain, respectively, a small sitting room with ornamental fireplace, an alcove with double bed, and a single bed. A few steps from the trullo is the second suite (Lamia Tata) with a single bed in its spacious entrance and a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom complete with shower carved into the rock. The bedroom has a 15 sq m outdoor terrace with a stone tub for moments of pure relaxation. A short distance away is the last suite, Lamia Bruja, accessed across a 20 sq m patio used as a sitting room which, from its high point, offers a panoramic view of the Itria Valley. Within the structure is a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower; this lamia is also equipped with an outdoor Jacuzzi built in the adjacent garden. Air conditioning in the bedrooms and in the main hall.
Park:
Pigreco lies in about 13,500 sq m of luxuriant vegetation, framed by an enclosure of Mediterranean scrub that almost completely surrounds it. It is enriched by an olive grove from which an organic extra-virgin olive oil is produced; you can stroll in the surrounding wood to look for scented medicinal herbs. Immediately past the entrance gate is a large parking area, isolated from the house thanks to the characteristic natural stone walls; a few stone steps lead to the external appurtenances of the house, starting from the three-cone trullo with its external sitting area shaded by a small white iron pergola and the large terrace of the dining area with built-in barbecue and spacious wooden table, perfect for outdoor meals. Walking along the characteristic stone paths, embellished by a luxuriant green lawn, you come to the two lamias used as bedrooms, each with a furnished outdoor patio. The large salt-purified swimming pool is in the centre of the property, completed by three small gazebos that offer shady moments of relaxation by the pool thanks to the comfortable sunbeds and deck chairs provided. The exterior is completed by a gym area equipped with fitness machines. Many small corners, surrounded by greenery and enriched by seating, offer moments of peace and silence.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens’ grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The beautiful pool area is located behind the kitchen area near Lamia Bruja. This rectangular infinity pool, measuring 10 x 5 m with a constant depth of 1,50 m, has chlorine and salt purification and 5 circular steps for access to the water. In the large stone-paved area is a solarium with 3 gazebos, one belonging to each suite, equipped with deck chairs and wooden sunbeds; further sunbeds by the pool complete the area. It enjoys a quiet location and privacy thanks to the surrounding vegetation. The swimming pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.
