From the moment you arrive, you will be welcomed with simple yet lavish interiors, and ample common areas, perfect to spend quality time with your loved ones. The cottage itself is flanked by grand open spaces on either side that promises a refreshing breeze to keep you company at all times. Each indoor space is eloquently furnished with plush amenities, from the bedrooms that overlook the serene surroundings, perfect to kickback and relax amidst the serene mountains of Ooty. Step outside, and you will be welcomed by the dense verdant foliage, that promises an unmatchable sense of calm. However, the focal point of this home is its location - nestled away somewhere in the heart of this gorgeous hill station, yet shielded from the buzz of it all. To that effect, we provide: - Generator, Wi-Fi, wardrobe, hangers - Geysers, towels, toiletries - Medical kit, mosquito repellent - Barbecue kit, bonfire - Secured parking space for up to 6 cars  This is a wheelchair-friendly, and pet-friendly property. The Space: BEDROOMS - The home boasts 4 spacious bedrooms - all on the ground floor.  - All bedrooms offer a myriad of lavish amenities including a king-sized bed, TV, Wi-Fi, wardrobe, separate seating area and ensuite bathrooms. - 2 bedrooms offer an extra king-sized bed and the other 2 offer a single bed.  BATHROOMS - There are 4 attached bathrooms. - All bathrooms have geysers, separate seating areas, towels and basic toiletries. COMMON AREAS - Step into this home and welcome a world of soothing charm that will leave you in awe.  - The interiors of the home boast 3 expansive living spaces - all on the ground floor.  - All living rooms are eloquently furnished with plush sofa-style seating arrangements for up to 9 people and are equipped with amenities such as a TV, Wi-Fi and wired CCTV cameras for security purposes.  - One of the living rooms is also equipped with a stocked bookshelf, perfect for all book lovers.  - Each living room is ornamented with beautiful artwork, frames and eye-catching trinkets.  - There is a separate dining room, furnished with a circular dining table, that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.  KITCHEN - Guests do not have access to the kitchen.  - It is equipped with a water purifier, crockery and cutlery. FOOD - Breakfast is complimentary. All other meals can be provided in-house at an additional cost, on an a la carte basis. - Guests can eat out or order in from nearby restaurants such as Magnolia Restaurant and Amma’s Kitchen. - Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. GUEST ACCESS The guests have access to the entire villa except for the kitchen. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, guests may have restricted access to any shared amenities. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS The host is not present at the property but is always accessible via call or message. A trained and responsible caretaker is present to resolve any concerns and help you have a perfect stay.  STAFF ACCOMMODATION We can provide accommodation for your personal staff at an additional cost. The staff will be accommodated in the staff quarters.  ACTIVITIES Flanked with open, spacious spaces on either side, The Alcove Cottage is a quaint cottage nestled in the heart of Ooty. Days here begin with savouring a delectable complimentary breakfast, amidst the refreshing breeze of this hillstation. The many lounge spaces of the home make for perfect hang-out spots. Unwind, relax and pick out a book to read from the stocked bookshelves whilst savouring the misty air. Come evening, gather your loved ones and play indoor games like cards and ludo. Huddle around the bonfire and relish a lavish barbecue spread.  ADD-ON SERVICES  - Barbecue kit can be arranged at an additional cost of Rs. 1000 per use. Ingredients will be charged as per actuals.  - Bonfire can be arranged at an additional cost of Rs. 1200 per session.  - Prices may vary subject to availability and peak season rates. HOME TRUTHS While we do promise you a welcoming home and a great stay, here are a few things we’d like to mention so as to ensure there are no unpleasant surprises later! - There 2 indoor fireplaces in the premises of the property, however, guests cannot access it.  - Kindly note there are friendly dogs residing on the premises of the property.  - The location of the villa is secluded.  - This is a pet-friendly property. - In case of a power outage, the generator can support all appliances. - All mobile networks work fairly well here. - Consumption of non-vegetarian food is allowed. - Please be mindful and keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM. - The caretaker stays on the premises of the same property.  - The stay is a part of a gated society and there might be other guests on its premises. - Guests can stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi. Network is subject to availability at any given time. NEIGHBOURHOOD The ‘Queen of hill stations’ and rightly so, Ooty is a complete package of lush green plantations, vast meadows, giant mountains and beautiful waterfalls. HOUSE RULES - Alcohol consumption is allowed.  - Smoking is allowed in the exterior areas of the villa only.  - Guests are earnestly requested to treat the home with care. POLICIES - The full payment must be made for your booking to be confirmed. - The number of guests must not exceed the count mentioned at the time of booking. - Only the guests who have been accounted for are allowed at the villa. - All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. - All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their stay. - Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement. - Any commercial activity is strictly not permitted. - A refundable deposit may be collected before check-in.  - This entire amount is refunded within 5 working days, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.  We look forward to hosting you soon.
