Just 2km from the picture-perfect village of Eygalières, Mas Art et Soleil lies quietly in a little hamlet, where cypress trees sway gently in the breeze and the craggy silhouette of Les Alpilles rises in the distance. Once an artist’s studio, this restored Provençal farmhouse is now a welcoming retreat, where natural textures, curated design and beautiful spaces come together in perfect harmony.
Inside, the open-plan kitchen and dining area features original stonework, high beamed ceilings and a large window framing the verdant surroundings. The space is both sophisticated and soulful, ideal for preparing local market fare while sharing stories over long meals. The light-filled living room exudes warmth, with inviting sofas and thoughtful touches that speak to the home’s artistic heritage.
Each of the three double bedrooms is delightful; two are on the ground floor (one adaptable as a twin, the other with air-conditioning) while the air-conditioned master upstairs is a sanctuary of calm with a king-size bed, cool stone shower and Travertine finishes.
The gardens are a Provençal dream, shaded by mature trees. Sunbathe by the long pool, enjoy pétanque on the lawn or sip rosé on the terrace. Al-fresco lunches stretch into starlit dinners in this idyllic setting in southern France.

Visitors to Eygalières are greeted by olive groves, vineyards, and fields of lavender that stretch as far as the eye can see, painting a landscape that is quintessentially Provençal. The village itself is a delight to explore, with its narrow cobblestone streets, ancient stone houses, and the ruins of a 12th-century castle perched atop a hill, providing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
The weekly market in Eygalières is a highlight for both locals and tourists, offering a chance to indulge in the region's fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, and handcrafted goods. It's an authentic Provençal experience, where the vibrant colors, enticing aromas, and friendly chatter create a lively atmosphere.
For those interested in cultural heritage, the 12th-century Saint-Laurent Church stands as a testament to the village's historical significance. The Chapelle Saint-Sixte, just outside the village, is another iconic landmark, often featured in photographs for its classic Romanesque architecture against the backdrop of the Alpilles.
Eygalières is also an excellent base for outdoor enthusiasts. The region's wines, particularly those from the nearby Les Baux-de-Provence appellation, are a perfect complement to any meal.
