Home details
Four-bedroomed Villa Krystal is an ideal getaway for families, with a large pool and extensive gardens set against the backdrop of a rugged mountain in Dalyan on the southwest coast of Turkey. From the outside, it looks like a traditional Mediterranean villa with terracotta tile roofs and whitewashed walls, yet within, it’s filled with bright contemporary artwork and modern facilities.
Once listed as one of the sexiest villas, perhaps the main stand-out feature of this luxury villa is its extensive grounds – 5,300 square metres – elegantly surrounding the circular-shaped swimming pool and dotted with beautiful potted plants, trees and greenery. There are plenty of soft grassy spots for children to play with and several cushioned chairs and loungers for picking your prime spot in the sun or relaxing in the cooling shade.
Inside, light abounds: from the large glass windows and doors to the natural-coloured furnishings, unique art pieces and statement features. There’s air conditioning throughout, and the villa has been carefully and cleverly designed to catch the natural breeze to cool the house naturally. Open the windows at both ends of the villa, and you’ll be amazed at how quickly it cools down.
All four bedrooms are equally seductive, stylish and serene, with en-suite bathrooms and thoughtful home-from-home touches like mirrors and dressers. Off the master bedroom on the mezzanine floor is a balcony with a wooden table and chairs for enjoying the serene vistas. There’s also an open-plan lounge and fully-equipped kitchen on the ground floor, alongside a separate toilet. Relax after a day exploring the inviting sofas or turn on the TV and DVD player for entertainment evenings in.
Outside, there’s a shaded sun terrace with a seating area for dining al fresco, alongside an outside kitchen, shower room and toilet for your utmost convenience. If you’d like to explore the local area, Villa Krystal is about 3.4km from the centre of Dalyan (a short 10-minute drive). The ancient ruins of Caunos, and the river that takes you to the sandy Iztuzu beach. Dalyan’s many restaurants serve local delicacies as well as international cuisine.

About the area
Fethiye, located on the Turquoise Coast of Turkey, is a treasure trove of natural beauty, ancient history, and serene beaches that make it a compelling destination for travelers. The town is nestled in a sheltered bay with stunning mountain backdrops and boasts some of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the country.
One of the main attractions in Fethiye is the Lycian rock tombs, including the impressive Tomb of Amyntas, which dates back to the 4th century BC. These ancient tombs are carved directly into the cliff faces and offer a window into the area's rich history. The Fethiye Museum also provides further insight into the region's past with artifacts from the Lycian, Roman, and Ottoman periods.
For beach lovers, the famous Ölüdeniz Beach, with its blue lagoon and pebble shores, is a short distance away. Paragliding from the Babadağ Mountain offers breathtaking views of the lagoon and is a must-do for adventure seekers. Butterfly Valley, a secluded beach accessible only by boat or via a challenging hike, is another natural wonder where you can relax or swim in crystal-clear waters.
The ghost town of Kayaköy, abandoned after a population exchange between Greece and Turkey in the 1920s, provides a haunting yet fascinating day trip. Visitors can wander through hundreds of deserted houses and churches in a beautiful hillside setting.
Fethiye's harbor is a lively spot where traditional wooden gulets dock alongside luxury yachts. From here, you can embark on a variety of boat trips to explore the numerous islands and hidden coves along the coast. The town's fish market is a culinary highlight where you can select fresh seafood to be cooked at nearby restaurants.
The weekly market in Fethiye is a colorful and bustling affair where you can find everything from spices and textiles to local produce and crafts. It's an excellent place to experience the local culture and practice your haggling skills.
For those looking to hike, the Lycian Way trail starts near Fethiye and offers some of the most scenic trekking in Turkey, with ancient ruins and stunning coastal views along the way.
In summary, Fethiye is a destination that caters to a variety of tastes, whether you're interested in ancient history, outdoor adventures, or simply soaking up the sun on beautiful beaches. Its combination of natural wonders, historical sites, and vibrant culture ensures a memorable visit for any traveler.
