Casale Piattini is a late 19th century farmhouse that has been recently restored while maintaining the typical characteristics of farms of the time: barberino stone for the walls, terracotta floors, barrel vaults, ceilings with exposed chestnut beams, travertine for doorsteps and steps. The dove-grey colour of the rough lime plaster blends the house perfectly into the well-kept garden with lawn and bushes of roses, lavender and rosemary. The large rooms and furnishings are typical of noble hunting lodges of the last century. The house is located in a farm estate that extends for about 300 hectares, but with a park, garden and swimming pool for exclusive use of the guests, in the typical Umbria and Lazio countryside dotted with olive trees, hills and woods which can be explored on foot, mountain bike or horseback. Its secluded location is ideal for spending a relaxing holiday immersed in the beauty of a spacious garden with set-up areas and swimming pool. The perfect location of the house, in an area rich in numerous artistic and natural attractions, is just a few kilometres away from the beautiful towns of Lugnano in Teverina, Amelia, Narni, Orvieto, Viterbo, the Marmore Falls and the archaeological area of Carsulae. Just 7.5 km from the Orte motorway exit, it is possible to get to Rome in less than an hour. N.B. The caretaker lives in an annex in the park.
Interior:
Casale Piattini has two floors connected by an internal staircase. To the left of the main entrance is a first sitting room which adjoins a second one with TV and direct exit out to the garden while, to the right, is the dining room connected to the kitchen, also with direct exit out to the garden. The ground floor is completed by a guest bathroom and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower and a service entrance. The first floor consists of two double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom with shower, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with tub and shower. All the bedrooms have air conditioning with independent control. N.B. All the fireplaces are ornamental.
Park:
Casale Piattini is located within a 300-hectare farm estate. The unfenced park belonging to the house consists of about 5 hectares of woods and fields. The well-kept garden surrounding the house and pool has a lawn with many varieties of rose bushes, wisteria, jasmine, rosemary, lavender, laurel and centuries-old oaks that ensure large areas of natural shade. Near the kitchen is a jasmine-covered pergola equipped with two tables, benches and a barbecue where guests can dine outdoors while enjoying a relaxing view of the hilly countryside opposite. Outside the sitting room are two vine-covered pergolas with small table, chairs and benches. Before descending to the pool you come to an outdoor seating area with armchairs, sofa, umbrellas and hammock. Under the shade of a large oak is the 3-car parking area.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is about 40 m at the back of the house, situated at a lower level and reached along a stone and lawn path. The L-shaped pool, lined in sand-coloured PVC, measures 12 x 6 m with a constant depth of 1.30 m and has salt purification, lighting and 4 large steps for access to the water. The solarium, in porous terracotta and lawn, is equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. There is a solar shower and a large centuries-old oak providing pleasant natural shade. The swimming pool is open during the day from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.
