This tidy, single-level cottage sits on the eastern edge of the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve, just across Atlantic Avenue from the sand and surf of Wells Beach. Take morning walks to watch the lobster boats come and go from Wells Harbor three-quarters of a mile north, spend your afternoons boogie boarding and sunbathing on the ocean beach, and search for hidden treasures in the dozens of antique shops that line Wells’ stretch of Route 1 three miles west.
Wake up to the sounds of coastal birds nesting in the neighboring wetlands and brew a fresh pot of coffee in the cozy kitchen. Assemble a homemade fruit salad for breakfast using local Maine blueberries, toss your flip-flops and beach towels in your bag, and spend the morning building sandcastles on Wells Beach. Indulge in a peaceful afternoon nap in the sitting room, and catch an unforgettable sunset over the marsh with a cocktail or a local microbrew in hand. One dog is welcome to come along, though please note our nightly pet fee.

Things to Knowoc
This is an older classic Maine summer cottage. The back yard is the ocean marsh and the marsh waters will go up and down daily with the tide. During inclement weather, the extremely high tides waters may rise to the cottage edge.
