Walk to River Run Gondola Upon entering, you’ll find the main floor with an open living room, dining area, and kitchen. On cold winter nights, you’ll want to get comfortable on the big comfy couch and warm up in front of the beautiful gas fireplace. Maybe watch cable on the large flatscreen TV. In the full kitchen, you’ll have access to all the major appliances you’d expect, including stainless steel appliances and beautiful granite slab counters. Creating everything from holiday feasts to a big pot of chili to a hearty pancake breakfast before a long day of hiking is no problem here! Right off the living room is a small deck with a gas grill for fixing up burgers, chicken, or whatever you’re in the mood for. From this level of the condo there’s not much of a view, but the deck is still nice for enjoying the crisp mountain air or having a glass of wine outside after dinner. What’s nearby: In the complex, there’s an outdoor shared hot tub but the real star here is the proximity to all that’s happening in this charming resort community. After a short stroll, you’ll be right at the ski lifts at Bald Mountain and ready for action. At the gorgeous River Run Day Lodge, have lunch or a cocktail after a day on the slopes or do a little shopping at the Brass Ranch. And if you want to mix it up a bit, the ski lifts at Dollar Mountain are less than a 10-minute drive away. In the summer, you can take the gondola or hike up Mt Baldy and hike or ride down, all the while enjoying stunning mountain views. Fishing fans will want to head to the Big Wood River for a chance at catching rainbow and cut-bow trout. Also right near the condo, there’s a bus stop that will take you right to the center of downtown Ketchum - of course, it’s also just a 10-minute walk to the center of town if you’d rather get a little bit of exercise. From here there are movie theaters, museums, shopping, and restaurants to explore. Also year-round, the Ketchum and Sun Valley region has its share of special events - in January there’s the Sun Valley Nordic Festival, the Sun Valley Film Festival in May, the Arts and Crafts Festival in August, and Ketchum’s unique Trailing of the Sheep Festival every October.
