Majestic Lodge
This real Lincoln Log Cabin is more than a vacation, it is Rustic Luxury at its finest and an experience you will not soon forget! Every detail in this cabin has been thoughtfully and carefully planned by the owners. When you drive up the driveway your first view of this magnificent house will take your breath away. Just be prepared to be breathless from that moment on!
When you walk in the door your eyes are instantly drawn to the thirty feet high windows that offer a panoramic view of three states, including Georgia’s highest peak in the distance - Brasstown Bald. To your right is the kitchen with top-of-the-line stainless appliances, including a Dacor double oven six burner gas range, a convection oven, microwave, and premium dishwasher. The kitchen includes a wet bar, wood, and granite countertops, and the kitchen table was used in two scenes of Part II of the Divergent movie series “Insurgent.” On the kitchen deck, there is a Webber gas grill.
To your left is the dining room. The base of the dining table was custom-made for Garth Brook’s drummer and a replacement tabletop was handmade by the owners from reclaimed wood to fit the circular room. The original tabletop was repurposed as the half-bath barn door. The half-bath vanity is a door with a mail-slot faucet and a crystal doorknob as your handle. The half bath and the main floor main vanity were handcrafted to be one-of-a-kind pieces. The centerpiece of the great room is a reclaimed Georgia gold mining cart, mounted on railroad tracks from Charlotte, and set on Georgia barn beams repurposed as cross-ties.
The main floor main bedroom has a king bed, a full daybed, and a pool table, all of which were custom-made by the owners from WWII-era Georgia barn beams and with local rainbow poplar slabs. The loft bathroom shower and the main floor bath feature the same barn beams. The great room stair treads were repurposed from half logs used as hallway posts from the original construction of Mull Valley. The queen bed on the second-floor bedroom was handcrafted from logs used in the original construction of the house with slabs from Pike County. The slab bar top in the Theater room also came from Pike County. The wooden eagle in the great room came from Mexico, while the antique canoe and other taxidermy were from sources throughout the Southeast.
The living room and the fireplace on the hot tub deck are wood-burning fireplaces. The downstairs main bedroom and the upstairs main bedroom both have gas-burning fireplaces. The kitchen, living room, and all four bedrooms have their own personal decks. The large deck off the main bedroom downstairs offers a sunken, seven-person hot tub with comfortable deck furniture, a TV, and a wood-burning fireplace. The fire-pit logs came from the original construction of Rustic Luxury.
