Welcome to Heron Reach on Rocky Bay at Gig Harbor! Nestled in the pristine Key Peninsula of the South Puget Sound, this area is a habitat to marine and wildlife. This comfortable beachfront short-term rental includes many amenities for an unforgettable experience. Relax alongside the shoreline and watch through large picture windows how changing tides bring countless birds including herons, ducks, eagles, and marine wildlife as well as seals and sea otters. Even porpoises and orcas visit this area. Different wildlife return to Rocky Bay with each six-hour tidal change. Access to the beach is by way of a trail.
This 1,700 sq. ft. single-level home is well furnished and offers three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, including a large family room with comfortable furniture, air-conditioning, a large TV and stereo, WiFi, and plenty of entertainment options including indoor and outdoor games. A spacious kitchen is well equipped with many numerous appliances and a gas stovetop that will make cooking a breeze. A high chair and a Pack ’n Play are provided for the little ones. Through the sliding glass door, enjoy two decks, a large propane grill, and convenient outdoor dining while overlooking the ambiance of Rocky Bay. Beachcombing boots and water socks of various sizes are provided and await your exploration of sandy beaches at low tide.
Heron Reach on Rocky Bay offers a beautiful place for kayaking, bird watching, miles of beachcombing, and boating around the Puget Sound, with other recreational activities. Kayaks
are included for guests use to explore the saltwater nature up close. A dock is available should you choose to arrive by boat. Less than 16 miles away, the charming city of Gig Harbor hosts waterfront shops, cafés and restaurants. Seattle is a simple drive or an easy ferry ride away. The Olympic mountain range and Hood Canal are nearby or take a beautiful drive to the iconic Mt. Rainier.
