You can walk 350 yards to the Village Gondola and ski home daily when the conditions are right on the beginner-level Ski Back Trail down the street. Mammoth Lakes becomes a paradise for golfers, hikers, and mountain bikers in the sparkling summer months. Practice your drive at the Sierra Star Golf Course, hike through Mammoth Lakes Basin, or spend a day on the shores of Mono Lake 30 miles north. You’ll also be 66 miles southeast of Yosemite National Park and its awe-inspiring granite cathedrals.
