Try the area restaurants and enjoy some excellent Hawaiian cuisine. Try Maui Brewing Company Brewpub in Kahana for lunch, less than a quarter of a mile north. In the evening, after you’ve gone home to refresh, drive about four miles south to Leilani’s, an oceanfront restaurant committed to sourcing local and socially conscious ingredients, and be sure to get their Hula Pie or fish tacos.
Step inside this completely remodeled condo and enjoy its open-concept design and clean, bright atmosphere. At the end of the day, make yourself at home in the living room, which boasts Italian ceramic tile floors and a two-story wall of windows, and watch a movie on the large flatscreen TV, complete with a DVD/Blu-ray player. Bring your devices, too, as this rental provides free WiFi.
The dining area features a beautiful, oval teak table that seats six guests with additional seating at the nearby counter on comfortable stools. Gather here and feast on gourmet meals you create in the fully equipped kitchen, which features lots of counter space, including a huge natural Quartzite stone peninsula, plenty of storage, and standard appliances that include a dishwasher. Or take your meal outside to the balcony and savor it with your guests as you admire stunning ocean views.
Special tiles in the stairway allow you to enjoy the Humpback whales frolicking in the waters any month of the year. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and your guests will also rest well in their room on a king-size bed, which can be converted to two twin beds with advance request. About the area
Lahaina, Hawaii, is a captivating destination that offers a rich blend of history, culture, and stunning natural beauty. Once the capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom and a bustling whaling port, today Lahaina is a charming town that retains its historical significance while providing all the amenities of a modern vacation spot.
The town's Front Street is a bustling thoroughfare, lined with an array of shops, art galleries, and restaurants. This oceanfront street has been named one of the "Top Ten Greatest Streets" by the American Planning Association. As you stroll down Front Street, the vibrant atmosphere is palpable, with the sounds of live music and the scent of Hawaiian cuisine filling the air.
Lahaina's history is on full display at the Lahaina Historic Trail, which features significant sites such as the Lahaina Banyan Court Park, home to one of the largest banyan trees in the United States. The Old Lahaina Courthouse and the Baldwin Home Museum offer glimpses into the town's past, while the Wo Hing Temple Museum showcases the influence of Chinese immigrants on the island.
For those who love the water, Lahaina is a gateway to some of Maui's best ocean activities. Whale watching tours are a must-do during the winter months when humpback whales migrate to the warm Hawaiian waters. Snorkeling and diving excursions to nearby spots like the partially submerged volcanic crater of Molokini offer encounters with vibrant marine life.
The town's beaches, such as Ka'anapali Beach and Baby Beach, provide perfect settings for sunbathing, swimming, and sunset viewing. Ka'anapali Beach, in particular, is famous for its daily cliff diving ceremony off the northernmost cliffs known as Puu Kekaa, or Black Rock.
Cultural experiences abound in Lahaina, with the Old Lahaina Luau being one of the most authentic luaus in Hawaii. Here, visitors can enjoy traditional Hawaiian food, music, and hula dancing under the stars. The Feast at Lele offers a more intimate luau experience with a sit-down dinner and performances that highlight the diverse cultures of the Pacific.
Lahaina's relaxed vibe, combined with its historical significance and natural beauty, makes it a destination that appeals to a wide range of travelers. Whether you're interested in Hawaiian history, looking for ocean adventures, or simply wanting to enjoy the island's laid-back lifestyle, Lahaina is a place that offers a memorable and enriching Hawaiian experience.
