Bring the whole family for a memorable escape to the beach with this elegant home in Seaside, OR. This contemporary house with a private hot tub will comfortably sleep up to nine people.
Sitting on the quieter south end of Seaside, you’ll enjoy a location within walking distance of Seaside Golf Course and just three blocks from the beach.
Step into the bright living room, perfect for entertaining or relaxing. A colorful couch, also a comfortable queen bed, is great for reading or conversing in the natural light from the windows, and leather armchairs near the gas fireplace provide ample comfort for rainy nights.
A dining room with a large table joins this room. Sitting beneath marvelous sunset photographs is a rustic wood slab dining table- to enjoy a home-cooked meal or some take-out.
The kitchen is bright and open, with many windows and plenty of counter space to prepare big meals. You’ll enjoy a full suite of amenities and helpful extras, like a blender, mixer, slow cooker, and crab pot, so you can whip up anything you’re used to making at home or be inspired to try something new (fresh seafood is always a great option)!
Adjacent to the kitchen is the TV room, with a sectional and a large TV. Take advantage of premium cable channels, a DishNetwork DVR to record your favorite shows to watch later, and a smart TV with Netflix streaming, and YouTube. WiFi is available.
A door in this room leads to a half bath and a laundry room with a washer/dryer. Parking in the attached garage makes rainy-day unpacking easy. Additionally, in the garage, you will find sand toys, a boogie board, skim board, foosball table,3 adult bikes and 5 kid bikes of varied sizes, a BOB stroller, and a large Radio Flyer wagon to transport kids or one of the coolers to the beach.
There are four upstairs bedrooms and two and a half baths. The primary suite features a king bed, north-facing window seating, a large TV with a smart Roku, and an en suite bathroom. There are two rooms with one queen bed each, and the fourth room has a set of twin bunk beds and toys for little ones. A second full bath with a tub/shower combo can be found in the hallway. There is also a sofa bed in the main living room and two cribs for small children.
This home is perfect for a large family, multiple smaller families, or a group of friends. Walk three blocks to the beach for kite flying, sand-castle building, surfing, and games of catch by the waves. This specific part of the coastline, directly west of the house, is called Surfers Cove, and you can often watch experienced surfers. Bring a picnic and warm clothes and spend the afternoon here, or wander north along the beach towards town for more fun.
The main street where all the shops are is an easy walk or bike up the promenade accessible at the end of the street. Here you’ll find amusement rides and mini-golf, a number of bistros, art galleries, and an arcade. Head into the Carousel Mall and browse the toy shop and get some ice cream and saltwater taffy in the building next door. If you haven’t been, the Seaside Aquarium along the beach is a good way to spend an hour or two.
If you’re trying to avoid the crowds, stick closer to the house - the U-Street Pub & Eatery is just one block away, with a few other restaurants east across the bridge. A locally owned grocery store is conveniently located right across the street.
