What’s nearby:
Making it to the slopes is easy from this unit! Dollar Mountain, which mainly caters to beginners, is within walking distance, and there’s a free bus that will take you to Bald Mountain, where more advanced skiers will find plenty to challenge them. Skiing isn’t all that this area is known for, though! Plenty of people come for the wonderful fly fishing, hikes, or rafting. There’s plenty to do in town, as well. Take a lesson in ice skating year-round at the Sun Valley Skating Center, then attend one of their ice shows! Bundle up and go for a sleigh ride in the hills. The local food is excellent - check out Konditorei for hot chocolates and pastries that are out of this world, or have a nice dinner at Averell’s and enjoy the best view for miles around.
