Activities close to home include beachcombing, strolling to nearby state parks, and storm watching (in the winter). Yachats proper is about four miles south with seafood bistros, coffee houses, and quaint shops. Laid-back Waldport is five miles north and known for fishing, crabbing, and kayaking.
