Lopez Island is the third-largest of the San Juan Islands, and it is a particularly quiet and rural area. This home is on the southwestern end of the island, so you can fully enjoy the amazing view of the harbor. Most of the restaurants, shops, galleries, and cafes on this island are about 10 miles north, so you can enjoy the peaceful 15-minute drive into town while marveling at the spectacular scenery. You’ll feel right at home in the charming, comfortably decorated house. The beautiful kitchen has everything you may need to whip up a hot breakfast or leisurely dinner, though you might prefer to eat outside on the huge deck or even picnic-style on the beach! The living room is a great space to play some board games, bring a DVD to watch, use the WiFi, or just sit in front of the wood stove and chat. With two bedrooms (each with a queen-size bed, plus a futon in the living room) and two and a half bathrooms, this house accommodates up to six guests. But make sure you check out the private sauna! After working up a sweat, feel free to sit outside on the deck in the gentle breeze to watch sailboats go by. When nighttime is near, make sure you leave time to watch the incredible sunset over the harbor. During the day, you may decide to wade through the water, start a fire in the fire pit, or leave the house and adventure through the area either on foot, by bicycle, or in a car. You could even go for a walk on a scenic trail and look for wildlife--orcas are known to pass by the islands during the summer!
