The Tyee Beach Blue Heron
Nestled away on Camano Island, you’ll find this tranquil home away from home and its striking views of the Puget Sound. It’s a place where you can sit beside the wood-burning fireplace in the living room and listen to the waves crash against the shore, where you can lay out and get kissed by the sun, or launch your kayaks right outside the front door; the possibilities are endless. The outdoors welcome you with a sprawling deck and a picnic table down on the lawn that leads right up to the sandy beach. Should the crisp fall weather move in, you can retreat indoors to find one TV in the living room that creates a wonderful setting for watching TV. But nothing beats the feeling of ending a long week sitting around the waterfront firepit and watching the sunset across the ocean.
Camano Island is located 70 miles north of Seattle; it offers a relaxed, rural atmosphere with a plethora of outdoor activities and no ferry ride needed to get to the island. Check out Matzke Fine Art and Design for amazing art in a beautiful garden setting just five miles away. Zipline through the forest at Canopy Tours, tee off at the Camaloch Golf Course or head to the Camano Island Marketplace to find coffee, French pastries, and pizza, all located within 13 miles of your home base.
