Situated on a hillside surrounded by vineyards, the property offers one of the most beautiful views of the lake and the Alps. In the middle of a beautiful garden designed by the famous Belgian landscape architect Jacques Wirtz, it enjoys one of the most beautiful location in the Lake Geneva, offering tranquility and serenity to its occupants despite an obvious proximity to the Vaudois capital. Its French gardens and the magnificent outdoor natural stone swimming pool give a particularly distinguished atmosphere to the exteriors.
The Region
Covering 800 hectares, Lavaux is the largest contiguous vineyard region in Switzerland, and its daringly constructed hillside terraces have been protected by UNESCO since 2007.
Right at the start of this tour, the medieval St. Saphorin with its narrow alleys and characteristic winegrowers’ houses from the 16th to 19th centuries is worth a visit. The town’s original church steeple still adorns many wine labels today. It is said that the Auberge de l’Onde, an establishment that can look back at a centuries-old tradition of hospitality, and where local delicacies are served on three floors, is worth sinning for.
Explore the terraced vineyards of Lavaux. Of the five Vaudois wine regions, the UNESCO "Lavaux" region (between Lausanne and Montreux) is undoubtedly the most spectacular.
The steep terraced vineyards benefit from three-fold warmth from solar, thermal and radiation sources: Directly from the sun, mirrored reflections from Lake Geneva and that of heat stored in the many stone walls in the surroundings. No wonder that this is the source of Switzerland’s Grand Crus in wine.
Take to the train, your bicycle or even walk to discover the 800 hectares of terraced vineyards of the Lavaux that have been accorded UNESCO World-Heritage listing. A footpath of 32 km in length leads from Lausanne-Ouchy to Chillon Castle. En route you’ll find 7 circuits complete with information panels detailing every facet of local viticulture. Taste locally produced wines in an authentic wine cellar and learns more about local wine growing culture and grape varieties.
To carelessly pass by wine cellars and traditional pubs would be a crime. After all, those who want to experience the scenery with all the senses should also taste it. And after a glass of Chasselas the dynamic uphills and downhills of the trail to Lutry are twice as much fun. On some days of the week the "Lavaux Express" is ready to comfortably transport tired hikers through the World Heritage Region, as is the "Lavaux-Panoramic" train, which takes hikers through the same region.
From St. Saphorin in a diverse route going uphill and downhill through the vines to Lutry. Indeed, it is on the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces where bon vivants get into top gear.

For cheese and chocolate fans, La Gruyère is just 30 minutes away. You can visit the medieval village and taste local cheese specialties.
