While primarily a residential area, its proximity to Asheville and the historic Biltmore Estate makes it an attractive destination for those seeking a blend of luxury, history, and natural beauty.
The centerpiece of the area's attractions is the Biltmore Estate, America's largest home, built by George Washington Vanderbilt II in the late 19th century. This grand mansion is set on an 8,000-acre estate and is a marvel of elegance and architecture. Visitors can tour the opulent rooms of the house, stroll through the beautifully landscaped gardens, and explore the conservatory. The estate also offers a winery where guests can taste and purchase local wines.
