As this home has a city imposed 30 night minimum stay allowing just one booking per month, it is preferred that all 30 nights of your stay be in the same month. A newly renovated Carmel-by-the-Sea cottage in a tree-lined neighborhood framed by beautiful vistas of the nearby Santa Lucia Mountains. It’s conveniently located near shopping, dining and two Carmel beaches.
The 4 bedroom, 3.5-bath home has sweeping views from the main floor and deck of beautiful Carmel Valley and the bordering mountains. This 1,700-square-foot residence is conveniently located within a 7 minute walk to two Carmel beaches. It’s also just a 3 minute walk to the famous Carmel Mission Basilica Museum and to Carmel Mission Ranch where you can enjoy dinner or Sunday brunch with an ocean and pasture view of grazing sheep. Downtown Carmel is an easy 10 minute walk passing wine tasting rooms, restaurants, galleries, Nielsen’s gourmet deli and the Sunset Center. Point Lobos State Natural Reserve hiking area is just a five minute drive from the house. Ten minutes by car you will find popular attractions such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row and Asilomar, and half an hour to Big Sur. It’s also near golfing and sightseeing in Pebble Beach®.
Upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted with complimentary cheese and wine or sparkling cider, wine tasting passes and basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes, and beach gear with everything you need for a day at the beach, including chairs, blankets, towels, umbrella and cooler.
The front door and porch are adorned with colorful flower boxes greeting guests as they enter. The living room has whitewashed vaulted ceilings, comfortable seating with a plush linen sofa, feather/down pillows, two New Zealand-crafted suede swivel chairs plus a large storage ottoman. There is a dramatic black and white handcrafted botanical patterned console, Caracole designer Windsor-style chair, Gray Malin photography and a 55 inch HDTV with sound bar. Just beyond are views of the nearby mountains through large windows or from the upper deck, which has patio seating and a gourmet gas grill.
The gourmet kitchen has seating around a built-in table with Cambria quartz countertops, white custom cabinetry, and high-end Wolf appliances with plenty of storage space, built-in seating and a window seat overlooking the garden. A pullout faucet and deep sink complement a gas cooktop, wall oven, microwave and high-tech refrigerator and a Keurig coffee and tea maker.
Around the corner is a half-bath/laundry room with washer and dryer, and down the hall is the master bedroom suite with a gas fireplace, 43" TV, Cal King bed and ensuite bath with gold fixtures. The bathroom has a cedar-lined closet, a wall-mounted shaving mirror, dual sinks, quartz counter-tops and marble tile in the shower. Also on this level is a bedroom with a full size bed. Just a few steps up, another bedroom has a queen bed with a wooden headboard, dual closets and ensuite bath with a shower and white tile with floral accents.
Downstairs, is a small library under the stairs, a TV room with a 50 inch HDTV; the sofa here converts to a queen sleeper.. An adjacent bedroom has a Cal King bed and full bath. French patio doors lead from the TV room and from the bedroom to the backyard garden, where there are flagstone paths, a patio with comfortable seating, and a meditation area. Parking for two cars in the driveway. An electric vehicle charging port is available upon request. Well-behaved small dogs will be allowed with owner’s approval.
