As this home has a city imposed 30 night minimum stay allowing just one booking per month, it is preferred that all 30 nights of your stay be in the same month. Should your preferred dates of stay not meet this request, please send an inquiry first and we will reach out to the home owner for approval prior to booking. The spacious property has a sense of peace and privacy, yet is close to everything that is best about the area: a 5-minute walk to shopping and dining in downtown Carmel and the Sunset Center; easy access to the beach, the Mission; and only a few minutes’ walk to the renowned outdoor Forest Theater, home of the annual Carmel Shakespeare Festival. Ten minutes by car to golf and sightseeing in Pebble Beach, vintage Victorian homes and Monarch butterflies in Pacific Grove, historic Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and nearby wine tasting in Carmel Valley. A sophisticated rustic ambiance greets visitors entering the beautifully decorated 2,100-square-foot residence, with hardwood floors, rich plaster walls, high open-beam ceilings and original paintings, photography and sculptures throughout. Renovated by acclaimed master builder Al Saroyan, no detail was overlooked: the home retains the cottage style charm that is characteristic of Carmel while adding quality craftsmanship, space and functionality. Upon your arrival, you will be greeted with complimentary cheese and wine/drinks, and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear, along with everything you need for a day at the beach including chairs, towels, and cooler. A mature garden frames the flagstone walkway to the front door, opening to the living room, which has luxurious velvet sectional seating around a gas fireplace of Carmel Stone and a 42-inch HDTV. An adjacent dining area with seating for eight at a round wooden table looks out on the garden and patio area outside. French doors from the family room open onto a brick patio with comfortable seating for four, a gas grill, along with a stunning outdoor fireplace - an ideal spot for afternoon barbecues or to enjoy an evening cocktail. The kitchen features tumbled tile countertops and alder wood cabinetry, and includes a four-burner Viking gas range with hood, a deep sink with pull-out faucet, and counter seating for two. A sound system throughout the entire home is controlled from the pantry. The kitchen area opens into the family room, which also has a unique Carmel stone gas fireplace, 50-inch HDTV, comfortable seating, and access to a long back deck with a stairway leading to the beautifully landscaped fenced yard, with a magnolia tree, live oaks, and a patio with seating. A small sitting room with a bay window at the front of the house can be used as either an office or bedroom, with its desk and trundle bed. Adjacent is a bedroom with queen bed, featuring luxury bedding, next to a hallway bathroom with a custom tiled tub/shower combination. The master bedroom suite has a king bed with an upholstered headboard and luxury bedding. The en suite bath has a shower with a built-in seat and steam option, a separate jetted tub, and two stylish basin sinks. A large downstairs bedroom features an antique four-poster king bed, 42-inch HDTV, windows looking out to the backyard garden and a door to the back patio. Also on this level is a walk-in wine cellar with storage space and laundry room with washer and dryer. Parking for one small vehicle in the driveway. Abundant additional street parking.
