With beautiful ocean views and the beach just steps from the front door, this Pacific Grove home is truly a bay lover’s dream come true. The 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage is a few minutes’ walk from the Monterey Bay Recreation Trail and Andy Jacobson Park, and is within easy walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row as well as a variety of restaurants on Pacific Grove’s Central Avenue. Downtown Pacific Grove is just a 5-minute car ride away, and 15 minutes to either charming Carmel-by-the-Sea or golfing and dining in Pebble Beach.
The flower-covered home, originally built in 1925, has been enlarged and updated to create light-filled rooms that mix colorful vintage and contemporary furnishings. Hardwood bamboo floors throughout the main level unify the open floor plan that includes a kitchen, living room and dining area.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complimentary cheese and wine or sparkling cider, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear with everything you need for a day at the beach including chairs, blankets, towels, umbrella and cooler.
Original artwork, large windows and skylights give a bright, casual ambiance to the home, where a cozy living rooms offers comfortable leather furniture, a gas fireplace with tile surround, and a 48-inch HDTV, the perfect place for the family to hang out, talk, or play games.
The pet-friendly home also features an outdoor patio surrounded by a vine-covered wooden fence for privacy, with outdoor seating and a gourmet gas grill to make afternoon barbecues a snap. Geraniums, bougainvillea and lavender can be found in the outdoor spaces.
The kitchen features granite countertops, a double oven, gas stovetop, custom tile backsplash, and double sink. Counter seating is available for two as well as vintage diner-style table with six seats, which is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the patio.
A staircase leads to the loft-style master bedroom suite, which has views of the Monterey Bay through large west-facing windows. The carpeted room features a private balcony with seating for two, built-in bookcases filled with books on local history and nature, as well as a king bed, HDTV, large closets, and original artwork. A deep jetted tub, custom tile and a hand-painted sink can be found in the en suite bath. A guest bedroom on the lower level features a queen bed and comfortable recliner. The adjacent bathroom includes a pedestal sink and a glass shower.
The home includes a stacked washer and dryer, and parking is available on the street.
