Built in 1842 and having recently completed a full exterior renovation, this beautiful home looks better than ever with fresh paint, new shutters and lovely landscaping! Not only feeling pretty on the outside, the inside is also feeling the love with new air conditioning and humidity controls for the top floors of the home, a new tankless water heater and new large smart TV in the den.
Designed as a southern retreat for its Savannah native, NYC-based owners, the home has been tastefully decorated featuring a mix of modern elements, locally sourced antiques and accessories, as well as custom pieces. Highlights include a super plush Shabby Chic couch in the living room overlooking East Saint Julian, a chic dining room featuring a custom table, fireplace and gorgeous crystal chandelier, and fully stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a butcher block island. The primary bedroom welcomes you with a Queen size bed, views of River Street fireworks, a flat-screen TV, and a custom California closet. Adjacent to the master, a family room with large Smart TV and spacious desk easily converts to an additional bedroom with a Queen sleeper sofa. The top floor of the house boasts views of the Cathedral and the twinkling Talmadge bridge at night and features three original Jack Leigh prints, the famous photographer most known for his photo of the "Bird Girl," which was chosen for the cover of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
The private rear courtyard features a built-in professional gas grill. The perfect spot for visiting with friends and family, dining alfresco, or just relaxing. Please take note, smoking is not allowed on the premises of this home, including the courtyard. The garden apartment, accessed through the picket fence and second private courtyard, includes a King bed and a bonus room with Full bed, and fully-equipped kitchen.
What is parking like for this home?
There’s designated parking space in the garage that will fit one small SUV, compact car, or sedan. For larger and additional vehicles, all other parking is on-street metered Monday-Saturday 8AM-8PM.
