In the heart of South Shore and directly adjacent to Lakeview Commons Park, the beautifully updated Famous Cabin has been hosting discerning travelers for years in one of Tahoe’s best locations. ABOUT THE FAMOUS CABIN Enter into a realm of deluxe living and magnanimous entertainment, a space renowned for its over-the-top amenities, including two gas fireplaces. The Famous Cabin is chock-full of high-end finishes spread across three floors. The first floor includes a family room, a gourmet kitchen with marble countertops plus professional-grade appliances, and a dining area. On the second floor, the Great Room features a 75in HDTV with Apple TV, bumper pool, a poker table, jukebox, and wet bar. The third floor is a kids’ fantasyland; accessible by a spiral staircase, the lofty hangout boasts a foosball table and HDTV. Both upper floors have views of the lake. In total, the home offers seven HDTVs, each with Roku and cable via the Spectrum app. (Five devices can watch Spectrum simultaneously.) Outdoor entertainment includes an on-site bocce ball court and cornhole. Each of the five bedrooms has its own TV. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, with a queen bed in the primary and a twin-over-full bunk bed in the other. The second floor offers a second suite and a guest room, each with a queen bed, while the loft has two full-size beds. Four bathrooms have artisan copper sinks and marble/travertine finishes. Per city ordinances, no parties (including weddings/receptions) are allowed. Maximum allowable city occupancy is 12 people and 3 cars; exceeding occupancy or parking will result in citation and fine. All persons, including children of all ages, count toward the occupancy of 12. We have a strict NO PARTY POLICY; failure to comply will result in eviction. Maximum occupancy is enforced 24 hours per day. City of South Lake Tahoe VHR License #002725. No street parking is allowed and the maximum of 3 cars is enforced at all times. All leases require a minimum 31-day term. This property is not equipped with air-conditioning. Outdoor wood-burning fires and charcoal grills are prohibited per local ordinances. LOCATION Experience Tahoe’s year-round beauty at this prime central location, just 5 minutes to Heavenly Mountain Resort and the Stateline casinos. Nearby activities include hiking, biking, boating, fishing, and skiing/snowboarding. The Famous Cabin sits next to Lakeview Commons, where you’ll find free live music every Thursday afternoon throughout the summer. Bike rentals are available adjacent to the cabin -- hit the trail network and head to Baldwin Beach or picturesque Fallen Leaf Lake. Want to get out on the water? Paddle board rentals and lessons are available across the street at El Dorado Beach. A plethora of food options is also a short walk away.
