The garage is not available to guests and is being used for owner storage and improvements. Our home sits near the banks of the serene Pedernales River. You’ll have access to our private dock for river fun, and we also provide kayaks for guests to enjoy some time paddling on the water. Whether you’re watching beautiful sunsets over the river or spending the day exploring by kayak, you’ll be mesmerized as the sun dips below the horizon, casting gorgeous colors across the sky and over the water. Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of a few interior closets, the garage (not available to guests), and a separate apartment that is off‑limits. There are also a few walkways outside that may be dangerous for young guests; we have clearly marked these areas. After booking, you’ll be provided a link where you can upgrade your stay or claim exclusive FREE PERKS (yes, even FREE LOCAL BEER 🍻). Spicewood is a small town located in the hill country region of Texas, known for its natural beauty and laid-back atmosphere. The area is home to a mix of residents, including families, retirees, and second-home owners. The town boasts a wide variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and swimming at the nearby lakes, like Lake Travis and Lake Buchanan. The area is also home to several parks, including the popular Krause Springs, which offers a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city and features beautiful gardens, walking trails, and a picturesque pond. The town is also known for its wineries and vineyards, like Spicewood Vineyards, featuring tasting rooms and events. It’s also a great location for those who want to be near Austin but prefer a quieter, more rural area. Overall, Spicewood is a great place to experience the unique culture and lifestyle of the Texas Hill Country, particularly for those interested in outdoor activities, natural beauty, and small-town living. Scooters (Lime & Bird) as well as Lyft and Uber, are the best ways to get around Austin, especially this close to everything. However, there are also a lot of public transportation options in this area (see CapMetro’s website). We have security cameras outside of our home at the entrances for added security and your peace of mind. We do not have any cameras inside of the home, respecting our guests’ privacy. 1) No smoking allowed (of any kind) ($350 fine) 2) Quiet hours are 10 PM to 10 AM, per city ordinance. 3) No events or parties 4) Dogs allowed, maximum of two. Cats are not permitted. A one-time pet cleaning fee of $120 applies. A pet brought without paying the fee is charged $250. Dogs must be crated when left unattended, are not permitted on furniture, and may not be left outside unsupervised. Owners are responsible for any damages. 5) The cleaning that you pay for is to clean the home prior to your stay. If you do not pick up after yourself sufficiently when you check out, you may be charged an additional cleaning fee - price depends on how long it takes to clean up after you. We don’t expect you to scrub the home, but simply pick up your trash and put everything where you found it 6) Minimum age to book is 25. The person booking must be 25 or older and must stay at the property for the full reservation. 7) If you do not check out on time (11 AM) you will be charged an additional night 8) Please see the House Manual emailed to you a few days before your stay
